you questioned, "you have band practice after this, right?" as you neared the school gates.

"yeah." kazuha replied. "would you like to come along?"

you nodded in response.

"alright then, let's go." xiao appeared from behind, startling the two of you.

"AAAAA- oh it's just xiao."

"pfft-"

3:42 PM.

"i'll just watch you guys practice. i have homework to do." you sighed in disappointment.

"aw man, okay." aether whined, heading over to the keyboard.

"you don't play drums anymore?" you questioned the blonde. "you looked cute playing them..."

of course, kazuha's jealousy was evident after hearing what you told aether.

"yeah, after heizou joined, we switched some roles." aether replied. "i play keyboard, heizou plays drums, xiao plays bass, kazuha plays the electric guitar, and venti just sings."

"please tell me you know how to play keyboard..."

today, the group was practicing more songs than usual. you noticed the abnormality, but just brushed it off. maybe they felt more motivated today?

"hey, how'd you get here?" you asked the little cat that appeared out of nowhere. it responded with a meow.

"oh, sesame probably snuck into my bag again." kazuha commented, trying to run his guitar through an orange.

the little cat meowed at your face, rubbing up against your leg. a boost of serotonin indeed.

"this isn't sesame though..." you replied to his comment.

"wait, what?"

in contrast to sesame's tri-color, calico coat; this cat had black fur all over. it was slightly smaller than sesame.

"hehe, i found a cat this time." you mumbled, petting the little creature in your arms. "kazu, can we keep it?"

"great, you guys are gonna have a second cat, while i don't even have one..." aether complained.

of course, kazuha ended up letting you keep the cat. the two of you packed your bags and headed home, and xiao left you guys a message.

"kazuha, make sure to be back by 5." was written on a small sticky note, handed to your boyfriend by xiao.

"why do you need to be back by 5?" you asked the boy as you exited the twins' apartment.

he replied with an awkward thumbs up. "you'll see later. i'm taking you with me, hehe."

just then, you remembered the small black cat.

"by the way, what do we name it?" you asked kazuha, slightly lifting the cat higher for him to see.

"jiji. like the cat from kiki's delivery service." your boyfriend suggested.
