"good morning third years! today's activity is volleyball."

11:46 AM.

"okay uhhhh- just pair up and practice random stuff." beidou instructed as she pushed a cart of volleyballs towards the group. due to her position as captain of the teyvat high's volleyball team, she was appointed "coach" of today's activities. "now we can go on a little date. heheheh." she whispered to ningguang, dragging her outside the building.

you turned to kazuha, and he turned to you. "let's partner up, kazu."

you and kazuha joined the volleyball club in your first year at liyue high, and became quite the formidable duo. practice went quite well, since both of you had experience.

the two of you started with a quick warmup, just passing to each other. after that, you moved on to practicing attacks.

1:32 PM.

suddenly, your stomach grumbled.

kazuha reacted with a "pfft.. alright, let's take a lunch break.

the two of you, along with your classmates itto and shinobu, went to a nearby fast food place for lunch.

"what do you guys want? i'll order. food and drinks on me!" you asked. "i'm feeling quite generous today."

kazuha asked for a bacon burger, shinobu asked for a large fries and chicken nuggets, and itto... uh. "okay so remember this y/n, my compadre... 3 double cheeseburgers, but with veggies on the inside, specifically lettuce and tomatoes... NO PICKLES. also stick some bacon in there too. thankz." you thought he was done.. until- "oh and 5 large fries and 9 mozzarella stick packs!"

you almost regretted paying for everyone. fortunately, shinobu paid you back for itto.

"phew.. okay, that's all." you finished your order and took out some cash.

the cashier replied, "alright. thanks. go to the pick-up counter to get your food."

"kay, thanks."

after a minute or two, the number on your receipt was called. you retrieved the bags of food.

"oh uh- can i have some extra ketchup packs?" you asked one of the employees.

"sure, cutie." he responded, handing you what you asked for. he placed his hand on yours.

"thanks- uh... could you please let go of my hand now?" you asked, starting to get uncomfortable.

"not unless you give me your number-"

suddenly, kazuha was standing next to you. he had taken your hand into his. "hands off. they're mine."

eh? you thought. your face started turning red, as well as kazuha's.

"uhm- thank you for the food." he grunted, pulling you back to the table.

"huh... i never knew y/n and kazuha were dating!!" itto blurted.

"shhh!" shinobu told the oni to quiet down, as she observed you and kazuha. "actually- yeah. you're right for once."

"haha! i know right? numero uno itto... the next einstein!"

surprisingly, you remembered everyone's orders, except one small detail for itto's burgers.

"bleh.. pickles...." you mumbled.
