Chapter 2: Body Party: pt.1

"Ludriel" the woman answers.

"I'm sorry you said what now?" I ask, "Before you turn us all into Swiss cheese could you at least tell us your name?" Leslie query. "Analia Strera" she answers, "Well Analia, would it be possible if you could put your weapon down and let us go if we ask nicely?" Armani asks, "Fuck no" Analia answers.

She raises the machine gun and then pressed the trigger; everyone quickly ducks down as the bullets from the minigun travel across the room. "Everyone join hands," Kai says, "No offense but I don't think it's the best time for us to be praying," Leslie says, everyone joined their hands."Portai," Kai said, suddenly everyone was teleported outside. "Let's go" we all rush to the car and then flung ourselves inside, promptly bullets came piercing through the back window. "Just how much ducking bullet does she has!?" Luke asks, "Enough pump our guts full of lead NOW DRIVE" Armani shouts. Kai grabs hold of the gear stick and shifts it into drive, he stomps on the gas pedal and steers the car onto the main road. I look in the rear-view mirror and luckily Analia wasn't there, "Kai, I know you said we should've prepared ours for everything, but I expected everything but that" Leslie says.

"I know. We'll just go back to the house, gather our thoughts and come up with a doable strategy" Kai reassures.

24 minutes later, 1:19 pm: Home

We get out of the car and walked to the front door, the second I open it, I could hear small footsteps rushing down the stairs. It was Volodya, "Mommy!" Volodya squealed. She hops off the last step and then rushed toward me; I get low a bit and then caught her in my arms. "Hey V! did you have fun at the daycare today?", "Yup, papa can we play tea party?" Volodya asks."Sure, princess but not right now. Daddies got to do something first, okay?" Kai asks, "Okay, can I go get some ice cream?". "Yeah, just two scoops" Kai answers.

I set V on the floor, and she hurries off into the kitchen. I take my shoes off and then walk to the couch, I let loose into the soft cushion and let out a muffled groan into the pillow. "I expected anything, but this" Armani says, "Yeah, who the hell would voluntarily sleep with that cu-". "Not around V" Kai cuts off Leslie, "What are we going to do?" Luke asks. I sit up straight and replied, "We all know that the second Ludriel gets released he's gonna double cross Analia, we just gotta show her the truth and get her on our side" I mumble, "Great, so how do we convince the daughter of a psychopath who hates us as much as her father does?".

"I don't know but I've got a ton of work in the morning, so we'll pick this up then" I get up off the couch, grab my shoes, and head for the stairs. "Lights out by 10, V," I said, "Don't worry, I'll make sure she gets to bed on time" Kai replies. "Okay, goodnight, everyone", "Goodnight" they all bid. I drag myself up the stairs and into the room, I walk across the room and open my closet. I placed my shoes to the side and then looked back at the zipped-up garment bag; tomorrow was Kai's 25th birthday so I thought I could surprise him with something. Even though he insisted on not celebrating it, none of us is going to listen.

I close the closet and head to the bathroom for a quick shower, I come out after a few minutes and then returned to the closet. I was more than tempted to open the garment bag and try the outfit on, but Kai could walk in at any minute and see so at last, I didn't. I take out a pair of pajamas and slipped them onto my body, I wasted no time and just hopped into bed. I could feel all the stress on my shoulders slowly fading away, I need to be well rested because tomorrow is another story.
