pride.
"pride is the root of all evil"
a statement i never quite got.
up until now.
pride can turn caring humans into conceited monsters.
there's nothing wrong with being proud.
but there is something wrong with thinking you're above everyone else,
and then using that as leverage to walk all over them.
because you aren't.
just because you came from money,
and you never had to struggle or work or fight for your life.
that doesn't make you better.
that only makes you weaker.
and more privileged.
