buckle up for the ride.
let go of your pride and slip out of your mind.
give all of yourself away.
always waiting for the right person to save the day.
until you realize there is none.
the only person who's got you, is you.
everything you thought you knew was an illusion.
created by you.
you thought that love would come as long as you fought,
but no matter how strong you are or how long you put yourself last,
you'll never be first.
so grab ahold of what you love,
and live like there's no tomorrow.
because you never know.
the road will get bumpy.
so know who's in your life and for what reasons.
so when they jump out of the moving car,
you know that you did what you could.
and now it's your time.
