jake lit a cigarette and placed it in between his lips soon puffing out smoke into the sky.
"you look like crap, sammy." danny said as he looked over to his friend.
"i feel like crap." sam stated, "i don't even remember anything from last night." he added.
amber look over to danny, and the two shared a laugh.
"okay, what did i do?" sam asked, pulling his sunglasses up onto his head and looking over to amber and danny.
"let's see, there was the singing in the uber, and vomiting in the bush..." danny trailed off.
"cant forget about how i had to help you upstairs cause you were practically asleep." amber added and danny nodded.
"sorry." sam sighed.
the group walked down the footpath and soon noticed a variety of food vans, each of them taking their pick of what to eat.
danny and sam went to the burgers food van, josh went to food van with the wraps, and amber went to the tacos food van — jake joining her.
"josh looks like he's handling his hangover well compared to sam." amber stated as she looked over to josh, laughing with the cashier at the other food van.
"yeah, he's always been able to recover quickly." jake stated.
amber then walked up to the cashier and ordered her taco's, waiting for jake to order his food.
as jake approached amber, they both perked their heads up to the sound of music ahead of them.
"i didn't know that anyone was performing today." amber stated as she watched large groups of people walk down to a patch of grass ahead of the stage.
amber heard her name get called and she received her food, jakes name getting called out soon after.
"wanna go check it out?" jake asked as walked up beside amber.
she smiled up to him, "sure."
the two split off from the others as they made their way down to where the music was coming from.
amber and jake took a seat on a bench, looking out to the band that was playing to over a hundred people.
"they sound great." jake stated, before biting into his taco.
amber nodded, "i remember playing here last year." she recalled, "it was a crowd like this, and i thought it was heaps of people."
"just wait till friday." jake said, smiling to amber.
"i just hope i don't mess up." amber said, blushing.
"if you mess up, then simply just play on like nothing happened. they won't tell the difference." jake said, "just wing it." he added.
amber smiled to him, before she continued eating her food.
the two ate their food in silence as they watched the band below perform, and when they finished their second song, danny, sam and josh came walking over.
"we thought we'd lost you." josh said, smiling as he took a seat next to amber.
"we were just watching them play." amber said as she pointed to the band below them.
