ambers eyes slowly fluttered open, and she took a deep breath in, the rich smell of coffee filling her nostrils, but also the familiar smell of sandalwood, apples, and cologne.

amber was met with the grey bunk curtain, and she furrowed her eyes in confusion as she looked down to see a hand around her waist.

she shot up slightly, turning her head to see a certain guitarist sound asleep.

then, as she thought back, she remembered the events of last night, and instantly relaxed back into jake's embrace, though within a few seconds she heard him grunt softly.

"good morning..." amber said softly.

jake then jumped slightly, and instantly pulled his hand away from amber, shifting to the side as if to keep his distance.

"oh- i- i'm sorry, i didn't realise..." jake trailed off, not knowing how to go on.

"it's fine." amber said as she smiled warmly over to him.

jake returned the smile and then breathed in deeply.

"coffee?" he questioned.

"smells like it." amber answered.

"want me to get you a cup?" he asked, "or do you want hot chocolate?"

"hot chocolate." amber smiled brightly like a little girl, "you make the best hot chocolates."

jake's face lit up and then pushed the covers off himself and awkwardly pushed himself over amber, careful not to fall on her.

jake lost his balance and fell into the curtain, then disappearing onto the floor, amber quickly moved to the edge of the bunk and peeked out of the curtain.

"you okay?" she asked jake as she watched him lay on the floor for a moment, holding his stomach.

"i'm good." he said, quickly jumping up and walking down the tour bus to the kitchen.

amber noticed that josh was making a cup of coffee, and the two made brief eye contact.

usually, josh smiles brightly over to amber, but currently he just held his resting face expression, not phased at all.

amber furrowed her eyebrows in confusion and leant back against the pillows, closing the curtain.

what did i do? she asked herself.

amber then pulled out her phone, and saw that she had several instagram notifications that were dm's from josh.

amber, did you get back safely?

amber?

i'm coming back to the bus now...

amber's eyes widened and she quickly realised why josh may be so annoyed with her.

she forgot to message him when she made it to the bus.

still, surely he wouldn't be mad just because of that, after all she did make it safely, and he knows that... something else must be bugging him.
