as amber entered the venue, she was met with the familiar sight of boxes and cases being lifted by crew members wearing all black.
josh's hand lingered on amber's waist as they travelled down the hall, sending a tingly sensation down her body.
"it's just this one here." amber said, pointing to the door on their left.
josh opened the door and let amber inside first, then following closely behind her as he shut the door.
"hi jamie." amber said, smiling to him as she took a seat across from him — josh deciding to sit next to amber.
"hello amber, and josh." jamie said, "now what is it you two wanted to know about the whole 'fake relationship' dealio?" he asked.
the pair looked at each other, before josh spoke up.
"how long does it have to last?" josh asked.
amber felt a pang in her chest.
he doesn't want it to last long?
"of course i don't mind how long it lasts, but it's just to get an idea." josh added.
amber then smiled to herself.
"however long you two want it to... but i would suggest a few months at the least, just to let it sink in to the fans, but if you really can't stand it then to the end of the australian tour." jamie said, "also you two should be together in public as much as possible to get the point across that the two of you are together."
amber and josh nodded.
"so when do you want us to 'reveal' this relationship?" amber asked.
"as soon as possible, but preferably when you two are together." jamie said, "in-fact... a certain radio station has asked for amber for an interview tomorrow, and hinted at wanting josh there too. it would be the perfect occasion."
amber looked to josh, and him to her.
it all felt like it was going so quick, but amber decided it was the best time to do so, and so did josh, and with that, jamie left the room after knowing that the two were comfortable with this fake relationship.
"so... tomorrow we tell the world that we are together." josh said, turning to amber.
"i guess so." amber said, "but we don't have to do it if you're not comfortable."
"are you comfortable?" josh asked.
she shrugged, "i don't know, it feels a little rushed i mean i've only been with you guys what... a week? and it's hard to fake something that is so important. but at the same time i feel like it would be beneficial."
"i understand, but just know i'll do whatever you decide to do. I'm comfortable if you're comfortable." he said, a small smile escaping his lips.
amber smiled and they sat looking into eachothers eyes for numerous seconds until they found themselves leaning in closer.
"i think i want to." she said, eyes flicking down to his lips.
"then i want to, too." he said, looking down to her lips.
amber looked from josh's eyes to his lips, and just as their lips were about to touch, the door swung open from in-front of them, causing the two to jump to opposite sides of the couch.
"good morning!" taylor yelled loudly, skipping his way into the room and plonking himself on the seat between amber and josh.
"it's the afternoon taylor, get up earlier." amber said as she crossed her arms over her body, annoyed that taylor ruined a moment that she had come to want.
