"what do we have planned for the rest of the day?" sam asked as they group piled into the uber.

"nothing." josh said.

"i actually have to meet up with the bass player and drummer in my band... they've flown in today so i'm gonna meet them at the airport." amber explained.

"well i can come with if you want?" josh asked from beside amber.

"yeah i don't have anything to do so i can come too." jake the said quickly, turning in his seat to face amber.

"alright." amber said with a smile, "what are you two boys gonna do then?" she then asked danny and sam.

"i've got an interview to do." danny said.

"i've got sleeping to do." sam said and amber chuckled.

"you always sleep." she said.

sam smiled and shrugged his shoulders.

"it's that or drinking." danny said, and sam slapped him playfully.

the uber arrived at the hotel, dropping danny and sam off, before they began driving again.

amber and josh slid into the seats where danny and sam were just in, and amber smiled over to jake as she buckled her seatbelt in.

"what are the people we're meeting at the airport like?" jake asked.

"well there's nick, and he's my bass player." amber began, "we met through my previous drummer, taylor at high school."

jake nodded.

"and i don't know anything about my drummer since he's filling in... so today will be the first time i've seen him." amber said, "i miss taylor though. he's been my best friend since i was like four. he can't make the gig's for the next few weeks because of some family issues."

"that sucks, i'm sorry to hear that." jake said.

amber shrugged her shoulders, "it is what it is."

the car then stopped and everyone jumped out, josh telling the uber to wait for us.

the three walked into the airport and amber pulled out her phone to see the time,

11:01am

"they should be here any minute now." amber said, pushing her phone back into her pocket.

amber, josh and jake waited silently for the other two to arrive — amber focusing music playing quietly through the speakers, managing to drown out the loud chatter and heavy footsteps of those around her.

eventually amber was snapped out of her thoughts when a voice yelled out to her, and she looked up to see nick with his suitcase trailing behind him.

"nick!" amber called out happily, running over to him and wrapping her arms around his neck, engulfing him in a much needed hug after not seeing him for over a week.

"it feels like forever since i've last seen you." amber said as she pulled away, looking up to him.

"it's only been like eleven days, amber." nick said, smiling down to her.

"feels like forever." amber said, shrugging.

"does this mean you missed me?" nick asked, raising an eyebrow.

"of course not." amber said, crossing her arms over her chest.

amber then looked past nick to see a familiar blonde headed boy.

"taylor?" amber asked in disbelief.

taylor looked up from his phone and his lips curved upwards into a smile.
