"WHAT? Are you serious?"
"Very, but don't tell the others. She has a friend with her, and she calls her Beta. I think they are wolves."
"I'm on my way. I'll be there in about 5." True to his word, Hobi rushed to his side. "Which one is your mate? I hope to God that it's not that vision in the purple dress."
"Nope, the photographer, why do you like the other one? Her name is Kat."
Hobi grinned, "my kitten." He stepped closer, but Joon grabbed his shoulder and pointed. He was about to step into the water like a dumbass. "Oh, thanks." They watched them for a bit, "are we going to keep staring like creeps or talk to them?"
"Her time in the fountain is almost up; I will talk to her. I can't let her get away."
Joon smiled when he remembered how Hobi had to help Kat out of the water because her dress was so heavy she couldn't do it. He also remembered how Mandy made stink eyes at him and yelled at him for touching her Beta. "Are you two together?"
Mandy snorted, "She's my soulmate, but we aren't mates or anything. I just don't want some random wolf touching her."
Joon never thought his mate would be a fiesty Alpha, but he was here for it.
"Are you even listening, Joon?"
Joon snapped his eyes to meet Jin in the rearview mirror, saying, "No, sorry. I was thinking about when I first met Mandy and Hobi met Kat. What a day that was."
Jin snorted, "Kat and Hobi hit it off instantly, and Mandy had you chasing her all over the damn town for months."
Kris gasped, "She did not."
"She did! She wanted nothing to do with having a mate. I'm a strong independent Alpha, there's no way I'm going to let some overgrown man-child try and control me." Joon couldn't help but laugh.
"How did you win her over?"
Joon shrugged; he wasn't exactly sure if he was being honest. He was just persistent. Jin snorted, "She realized that he was a Beta with Alpha status, and if she wanted to be the boss, he was more than happy to give that to her."
Kris smiled, "That's sweet, actually. Her boyfriend in high school was pretty bad—overbearing and controlling."
"Do you know Kat, too?"
Kris was grinning now. "I do. Kat and Mandy have known each other since birth. They went everywhere together. They complement each other well."
Jin smiled at the little Omega beside him, "You'll love Kat's mate, Hobi; he's total sunshine."
When they got home, Hobi and Kat were the only ones there. Hobi was sniffling, and Joon set the bags down. "Why are you crying, Hobi?"
Hobi glared a bit at Kat, and Kat snickered. "There was a dragonfly that got into the house. He screamed like a little girl, wanting me to kill it. But I was busy."
"She was in her freaking nest," Hobi yelled.
"I was grading homework IN my nest," she told them with a little eye roll. "I told him to come cuddle with me in the nest, and I'd protect him, but he wouldn't move from the couch."
"Because it was the size of Godzilla, and it scared me."
"So I got up and killed it.."
"30 minutes later," Hobi cried.
"I got you a Sprite as an apology and offered you cuddles and kisses, but you said no."
Jin looked at Kris, "Sorry about them. None of the mates in this house are normal." But Kris was smiling softly, and it made Jin happy. If she can handle this, then she's perfect. "Are you hungry?"
"I'm hungry," Kat yelled from the couch where she was wrestling with Hobi to cuddle.
"Yes, I'm hungry, Jin."
He reached out and tucked some stray hair behind her ear, it was a pretty strawberry blonde "I'll show you to the room you'll be staying in and then I'll start cooking." The guest room was next to Jin's, and he couldn't be more thankful. The rest of the pack crashed in as soon as he got dinner ready.
Dinner was utter chaos with all ten of them, but Jin didn't care. He was too busy being focused on everything Kris said and did. The way she giggled—if she laughed too hard, she'd cover her mouth—the way that she blushed every time Kat or Mandy showed her any sort of affection—everything she did fascinated him. When she went to get ready for bed, he cornered Mandy in the laundry room.
She looked at him with a raised eyebrow, "Spill it, Jinnie, I don't have all damn day. I still have to edit pictures."
"I like her."
"Of course you do; she's sweet and gorgeous. What's not to like?"
"No, like I want her."
Snort, "Jin, you are an Alpha, and she's an Omega. If she wants you, go court her ass." Then she pushed past him.
Court her? But he didn't know how to do that. The only other Alpha Omega pair in the house were Yoongi and Jimin, so he could ask them what to do. He knocked on their door and heard a faint "come in" from Jimin. "Hey, Jinnie, what's up?"
Yoongi snorted from the bed, "Let me guess, you like the Omega. Mandy said to court her, but you have no idea how to do that. And since we are the only Alpha Omega mates, you know, you came here?"
Jin snapped his head up to look at him with wide eyes. He was legit making the surprised Pikachu face. "How?"
Jimin giggled, "You are fairly easy to read, Jin." He patted the bed, "Come sit and let me tell you all about how this dumbass Alpha tried and failed miserably to court me."
Yoongi scoffed, "Our very first meeting, you were rocking on my dick like a horny teenager."
"I was a stripper, and you paid for a private dance, you prick." Jimin takes a deep breath, "do you remember Namjoon and Mandy's pre-wedding party?"
