Chapter 15

"Well, I went to nursing school, so I was going to start looking for jobs in that field, but I was going to wait until I got back home to look if I'm being honest." Both Tae and Jimin's mouths dropped, and then the tears started: "Oh, whoa. Why are you crying?"

"You are going to leave?"

Tae's tears were falling so hard that they were breaking Kris's heart. Jimin started sniffling, "But you just got here; you can't leave. What about Jin?"

Before Kris even had a chance to say anything, a very angry Alpha stormed into the room she was staying in. "What's wrong?" he asked, wrapping his arms around his crying Omega. "Baby boy, why are you crying?"

"Kr Krriss said that she's leaving."

Yoongi snapped his head towards Kris, "You are Jin's mate. Why would you leave him?"

"You guys keep saying that, but how do you know? How do you know someone is your mate? I show up to see my sister after years of not seeing her, and then suddenly, this hot-ass Alpha is obsessed with me. He's buying me all kinds of things and getting jealous about Jay talking to me. He's feeding me and making me sit in his lap. And I'm fairly sure last night after I passed out, he licked my wound. I woke up on his chest. Like this isn't normal."

Yoongi chuckled, leaned over, and kissed his mate's tears away. "Guys, can you give me a few minutes with her? I need to explain a few things."

Jimin grabbed the lapels of Yoongi's jacket, "please convince her to stay. We finally got another Omega."

"Of course, baby," he whispered against Jimin's forehead. Then he smacked his butt lightly and pushed the two Omegas out the door. He turned around and looked at Kris. "You haven't spent much time around Alphas or actual mates, have you?"

Kris dropped her head down as she sat on her bed. "My mother is fully human. My father was an Alpha and died before I was born. She married Mandy's Dad, but he's a Beta, and his actual mate died giving birth to Mandy. This is the first time I've really been around wolves. I don't understand how Jin can just see me and decide that I'm his mate."

Yoongi sat down next to her on the bed. He rubbed her back, trying to calm her down, releasing his calming scent. It won't work as well as Jin's would, but he's still an Alpha, and she's still an Omega. "Well, I'm not sure how it is for Omega's. You'll have to ask the two who are eavesdropping at the door." There were two squeaks, and then they heard them shuffle a bit. 

"Idiots," Yoongi said with no malice in his voice. "For Alphas, it's like there's this voice screaming in our heads and telling us that no one else on this planet is more right for us than that person. Your scent is stronger for us; you can calm us down when no one else can. We think about you constantly; every choice we make is for the betterment of our mates."

"He acts like he's in love with me."

"Because he is, it's instant for Alphas."

Kris looked up and rolled her eyes, "then why did Mandy run so hard from Joon? She's an Alpha."

Yoongi scoffed, "Those two aren't normal, like at all. Joon acts like a Beta, and I've never met an Alpha quite like your sister."

"That's the truth. But still, I don't get this. Does he expect me to live here and us to be together?"

"Well, we plan on moving to a bigger house since this place isn't safe for pups. He will probably ask you tonight what you want at the house."

"I'm not ready for all that, though," she whined.

"Then why did you ask him to help with your heat? Do you even know what that means for an Alpha, one that's your mate?"

"How did you?"

"Your sister yelled at him for almost 30 minutes. She said, you better not mark or knot her, you stupid Alpha. She's going to be begging for it since she'll be in her heat, and your dumbass Alpha instincts are going to want to give her what she wants. But I swear to God I will cut your balls off, batter them up, deep fry them, and feed them to you."

Kris gasped, "She did that?"

"She loves you, dummy. It's her Alpha instincts to take care of you until your mate marks you."

"I've never spent my heat with an Alpha; will I beg for that?"

Yoongi squeezed her shoulder, "You will. It'll be even worse because you might be able to deny it, but your wolf knows he's your mate."

"How do you know though?"

"What does Jin smell like to you?"

Kris smiled softly, "Maraschino cherries and almonds."

"Wrong, he smells like some random salty nut, like a peanut or something. But I'm guessing those are some of your favorite scents?"

She chuckled lightly, "One time I made almond cookies, I didn't even let anyone eat them. I kept them in a container, opened them, and sniffed them. They went bad because I was just obsessed with smelling them."

"He's your mate, for sure. Do you find his scent comforting? Like, I know he gave you a blanket and his hoodie. Did you catch yourself smelling it and being happy?"

"Yes, but that doesn't mean anything, does it."

Jimin stormed in, tossed Yoongi's jacket at Kris' face, and said, "Smell this." Kris took a sniff and made a disgusted face. "See, you don't like another Alpha's scent."

"But I like Mandy's," she whined.

"She's your sister. Stop fighting this; give him a chance. He's a great guy who'll treat you like a Queen."

Jimin laughed at how passionate Tae was, "he's right. And if he doesn't, Kat and Mandy will make sure that his body is never found."

"It's just scary. We just met."

Tae smiled, "Kook pulled me over for speeding. I offered to blow him if he'd let me out of a ticket. He laughed so hard, and I ended up with his number and no ticket. We went on a date the next day, and I knew he was the one for me."
