Running from his car to the front door of the restaurant, his senses go crazy. How was Landon here? They buried him two weeks ago in their backyard by the rose bushes several hours after he was born. But it was him, Landon, wrapped up in a blue blanket. He picked him up, the baby opening his eyes slowly as they flashed green. "My baby, my pup, oh how I missed you."

There was a letter in the basket with him; he picked it up and read it.

Dear Hobi,

I'm sorry to do this to you, even more since I know you and your wife are expecting. But please raise him as your own. He was born two weeks ago; his father does not even know he exists. I was raped, the man was, I'm not even sure. I know this will sound wild, but he had red eyes and seemed crazed. He raped me the entire night, and I love my baby. But I'm 16 and live on the streets; you can give him everything that I can't. I couldn't give him away without knowing what would happen to him. With you and your wife, I know he's safe and will be loved. I named him Landon Noah, but you don't have to keep that. I'm not even sure why I picked it. I'll never be able to thank you enough for everything you did for me and what you are going to do for Landon. But I do promise that you will never see me again; I will never come for him. He's yours; never tell him the truth. Let him believe that he's yours and that you had twins.

                                                                                                               Tessa

He didn't even bother going inside; he still had Landon's car seat in his car. He had put it there a week before he was born to ensure they knew what they were doing. Since this was the first time he'd even been in his car since his pup's death, he hadn't bothered taking it out yet. And right now, he was thanking his lucky stars for that oversight. He gently unwrapped the blanket from around the little Beta pup and got him strapped in. The drive home was the most nerve-wracking thing he'd ever experienced, besides the manic drive home when Kat went into labor.

"Why do you have a baby in your arms?"

Hobi looked at Mandy and Kris and said, "I can't explain it other than this is our pup." He handed them the letter, and they both read it with confusion on their faces.

"Hobi," Mandy said softly, "that's not your pup. This is Tessa's baby."

"It is my pup; this is Landon. He was born the same day. He's a Beta. He's my Landon."

Mandy frowned, "his father was an Alpha Hobi."

Kris walked closer to the pup, "can I see him, please?"

Hobi growled a bit and held the pup closer to his chest, wanting nothing more than to protect him from any harm. Then he shook his head. He knew that Kris would never harm a pup; Omegas practically worship pups. "Sorry," he mumbled as he slowly handed the pup to Kris' outstretched hands.

"It's okay; you are just being a good father to your pup." Kris looked at the baby in her arms. He looked a lot like the one they lost, but this baby was two weeks old, so he was a bit bigger. He is part Asain, that's for sure. "Was Tessa Asian?"

"No, she's white. Why?"

"Well, I wonder if that Alpha was Asian. This baby is part Asian by the looks of it." The pup opened its eyes, and they flashed green, showing his Beta status. Then, the color faded back to its natural color. Kris gasped, "Have you seen his eye color?"

"No, just the green when his wolf showed itself to me. Why?"

"Hobi, he has the same eye color as Kat. I mean, how many people in the world have mint fucking green eyes?"

Mandy sounded like she was starting to choke on her spit. "Let me see." She reached out for the baby, and Hobi hovered over her the entire time. "Yah, I know I'm an Alpha, but chill. I mean the pup no harm, regardless of whether it's yours or not."

"I'm sorry; I don't know why I'm so anxious."

The Alpha frowned before she took a big whiff of the baby. "He smells like the perfect mixture of you two. Your cinnamon and Kat's apples—he legit smells like a cinnamon apple pie."

Hobi grinned so big; he was so happy. "It's what our pup smelled like; that's how I know this is him."

"Hobi, your pup is buried out back by the rose bush."

"But his soul wasn't. What if, when our Landon died, his soul found this one? They were born on the same day. They have the same name and the same smell. He looks like Kat and I, he's, I can't explain it, but this is our pup."

Both the Alpha and the Omega looked at each other, neither having the heart to say anything to upset the Beta. He smiled as he held the pup, lightly swaying him back and forth and cooing at the precious little thing. "I can't wait for you to meet your mama, little one. She missed you oh so much."

He walked towards his room, wanting to bring the baby to his wife. When he opened the door, her head shot up, "Landon?" Those were the first words she had said to anyone besides her muttered apologies for the past two weeks. "Why do I smell our pup Hobi?"

"Kitten, this is going to be hard to believe." And he told her, told her everything that he believed, everything that he hoped for. "Do you believe me?"

Her eyes never left the pup the entire time he was talking, "This is our pup, this is Landon?"

The pup was wiggling, trying its hardest to get closer to her. Every time she spoke, the pup would let out such happy scents.

"I believe the moon goddess blessed us."
