Mandy slammed her hands down on the table, growled, and stormed out of the house. "Fucking Alpha thinking he can control my ass and use Jiminie and Joonie as blackmail." She yelled as she got into her car. She pushed the button on her steering wheel, "Call My Soulmate."
"Hello? I'm about to go into my planning hour. Do you need something?"
"I'm getting Starbucks, the usual?"
Kat chuckled, "Did someone piss you off?"
"Fucking Yoongi. He said he'd give Jimin pups whenever you and I have pups. That fucking asshole holding that shit over my head like that. Because Joon isn't already making me feel guilty, and Jimin, don't get me started on him. If he finds out that I'm the only thing holding back his chance at pups, he won't let me breathe until I'm pregnant."
Kat sighed quietly, "You know that Hobi and I have been talking about it a lot. We are both where we want to be in our careers. Yes, I work a lot, but there are now ten of us, and I know that everyone would help out."
Mandy whispered bye as she dropped her head onto her steering wheel. She was just waiting to pull forward. "Hello and welcome to Starbucks. What can I get you today?"
"Hi, can I get a Venti Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino, two extra shots of espresso, extra caramel drizzle and crunch, and then a large ice water?"
The voice giggled over the intercom, "Hi, Mandy, pull up, and I'll have your and Kat's order ready." You know you come to Starbucks too much when they know who you are based on your order. The Alpha mumbled a thanks and pulled up. They handed her the water immediately; it was the only thing she liked there. She goes because Kat is obsessed, and she'd be a lousy soulmate if she didn't come bearing gifts when she needed to vent to her. They handed her Kat's overly complicated drink, and she was off to school.
Everyone there knows who Mandy is; it took about four years before they realized they weren't married. The fact that she calls Kat Babe certainly didn't help their case. The first time Hobi showed up with lunch from his restaurant, everyone was shocked. They legit thought that the two girls were together. But Hobi makes it hard not to fall for him, so he wins everyone over quickly. The Alpha walked in and waved at the secretary, then headed down the hall for Kat's class.
"Hey babe, here's the world's most obnoxious drink."
She rolled her eyes, "I don't know. Do you remember when we went to Black Top and drank those spiked milkshakes? They came with cookies and shit all over them. Those were complicated, by the time we figured out how to eat them the Omegas were a sticky mess and ours were melting."
"Ahh, good times." Mandy smiled as she sipped her delicious ice water.
"So go ahead," she said, looking at her watch. "I have 25 minutes left before the kids show up."
"Are you going to get pregnant?"
She set her drink down and reached across her desk to grab Mandy's free hand, her fingers brushing over the mark she left on the Alpha's wrist years ago. "Is it such a bad thing that I want to have a baby with Hobi? Like, could you imagine him as a Dad?"
"I can, same with Joon. I'm just scared." Mandy's head fell, her chin hitting her chest. "What if everything is great at first, and then it gets bad between us as the pups get older? I won't be able to leave; I'll be stuck until they grow up and leave the house."
Kat squeezed Mandy's hand tighter. She knew how hard it was for her. Her fears were coming on strong, her fear of not being able to flee at a moment's notice. It's one of the reasons she picked photography and traveled so much for it. She can do it anywhere, and she's built up a name for herself all by herself. "Mandy, Joon is your mate. He'd do anything for you. You have to know that?"
"Yeah, right now, sure. But what about 20 years down the line? Everything is always great at the beginning of a relationship. But if we add pups, there's no out; we're stuck."
Kat wrapped her arms around her friend. She knew that Mandy was doing everything possible not to cry. "Talk to Joon tonight, go out and shop a bit. Didn't you say you wanted to make it known that he was your man and taken?" Mandy nodded her head yes, "Then go get something sexy and show those college hoes what's up."
Kris was in her room getting ready when there was a knock on her door, "come in."
The two Omegas peeked their heads in, "Hey, we are going to head to the flower shop. We wanted to know if you wanted to come with us. They don't like to leave us here alone if they can help it, and everyone has to work today."
"You don't mind me coming with you?"
He grinned his boxy grin, "Not at all. You can work there with us when you aren't working with your sister."
Kris cocked her head to the side a bit, "I'm working with Mandy?"
Jimin nudged Tae with his shoulder, "We just assumed since she normally works alone. She needs help, but she refuses to hire anyone. She'll call one of us to come help if she absolutely has to. We don't mind at all; it's kind of fun. But if we have a lot of weddings, it gets crazy. Did you know that she bought drones instead of hiring a second shooter? She's that against it."
"Then what makes you think she'd want me working with her?"
"Well, you are her sister, and she let you come yesterday. We figured you could work with us and then help her when she needed you. It's the best of both worlds unless there's something else you want to do. Mandy told us that you went to college."
Kris thought for a bit. Did she want to work with these two and possibly her sister?
