Chapter 28

Raven and her tribe quickly got used to their new position, as quickly as a once proud tribe following the motto of 'The strong prevail and the weak perish' could get used to being the weak ones. There was the odd case of someone stepping out of line, but that was quickly fixed by Raven or Vernal.

Y/n was currently strolling through the desserted corridors of the Amity Arena. He was flanked by Nerberal and a rather nervous looking secruity guard with mismatching pink and brown eyes.

Looking around Y/n had to admit that he was quiet disappointed at how bland everything was.

Y/n: "How many sigils were you able to place?" Y/n asked the girl in disguise. Quickly she pulled out her scroll and typed out her answer before showing it to Y/n. "28? More than I expected, great job." It was an honest reply as even ingame it took forever to place down a single sigil and the cooldown was multiple hours. "Now we only need Romans distraction."

The trio soon reached the spot Y/n wanted to wait in till Roman contacted him. The Overlord had made sure to give Roman a Scroll of Gates, a magic item that allowed the opening of a one-time use Gate towards a pre-set destination. That destination was Y/n, who abused a simple loophole in the function of the scroll that allowed players to be used as destinations even if normally only towns were viable.

Looking out of the wall of windows Y/n had a perfect view over the city of Vale as it layed below. The lights shimmered in the dark of night, like the stars above.

Oh how much Y/n will enjoy watching those lights die out.

It took almost an hour till something finally happened. And what a distraction it was.

Flashes of light followed by the echoes of booming explosions.

At least 10 different streets suddenly blew open.

Even from the arena Y/n could see the holes that had opened up and the swarm of Grimm that spewed forth.

As the Gate opened behind him Y/n was gleefully watching a young man and his date of the night get mauled by a Creep. Houses were crushed by the sheer wave of darkness.

Roman: "I hope those piles of bones were not important to you." The man said full of honest, worried that he might be punished for losing the skeletons.

Y/n: "They can easily be replaced. However I hope their equipment wont be found, even if most people will think they are the remains from the huntsmen that tried to protect the fleeing masses in those tunnels. Great job Roman, truely." Roman bowed his head respectfully. "Now for the grand finale. I would advise you to sit down." Y/n said while opening his inventory.

The distraction will help, but even with all the Grimm people would notice a giant magic circle appear above the city, so it was important to not create such an obvious circle. Luckily Y/n had just the item for the job.

A small, all most perfectly transparent marble rested in Y/ns hand as he raised the other. Crushing the marble Y/n began to cast the spell.

Y/n: "From here to there. From Heaven to Hell. From Sea to Sky. From now to then. Bring me away and with me that where your sigils lay. [Maximise Magic: Great Journey]" There was a short delay as the spell activated the sigils around the arena, but once it started it happened in less then a second. The skyline of Vale was replaced with an almost endless sea of sand. The desserts of Menagerie. Y/n opened a Gate and out spilled an army of skeletons, led by Shalltear. "As your punishment you are to lead these skeletons as you take apart this arena. You have till dawn. Come Neo, Roman. It is time for rewards." The three and Narberal left through the Gate, not even waiting for Shalltear to reply to Y/ns orders. They entered Y/ns throne room and Y/n went to sit down. Roman and Neo quickly kneeled down and Y/n called upon Raven, Junior and the fourth candidate for receiving the honor to become on of Y/ns demons, Adam. The three joined after a few minutes.
