Remnants of the Overlords (RWBY x Overlord male reader)

Chapter 20

Y/n was annoyed. Not only is he stuck babysitting team RWBY, but he also has to deal with Doctor Ooblecks constant questions about his family. He had to stop Narberal at least 5 times from jumping up and killing the man that was annoying her master. He only hoped the flight would not take any longer then it already had.

Luckily the Bullhead soon decended and landed in the middle of a ruined city. Grabbing their things the group got off the Bullhead and watched it take to the sky again.

Oobleck: "Alright listen up students. Under no curcumstances shall you leave the group, we are in the middle of one of the biggest Grimm infected zones on Remnant."

Y/n: "So how many Grimm do we have to kill for this mission to be finished?"

Oobleck: "Uncertain, it could be a single pack or even an entire hoard." Y/n hummed and looked at the sky.

Y/n: "It will be raining soon, we should find shelter in on of the buildings. Oh and Grimm other there." Team RWBY turned towards where Y/n was pointing and watched a lonely Beowolf walk across the street.

Oobleck: "Very well spotted mister Deamon. Now girls do not get over excited yet, it would be smart to wait for the rest of it's pack."

Blake: "They just walked out of a building." Blake pointed out.

Oobleck: "So it would seem."

Weiss: "And they have seen us."

Oobleck: "So it seems indeed."

Yang: "Are we allowed to fight now?"

Oobleck: "Oh ofcourse, go ahead."

Ruby: "Close your eyes Zwei."

Y/n: "Zwei?" Y/n asked confused and looked towards Ruby who kneeled down and was patting a black and white corgy. "You brought your dog with you?"

Ruby: "Ehh... no?" Everyone facepalmed. "Ok yes I did, but I had noone to watch him so I had to!" Ruby complained.

Y/n: "Ok we talk about that once you finish the Grimm, which are about to hit you by the way." Y/n pulled out his sword and watched the Beowolf impale itself on it.

Ruby: "Oh thanks." She got up and turned towards her team. "Lets do this!"

WBY: "Yeah!"

Doctor Oobleck, Y/n and Narberal watched the four girls dispatch of the Grimm.

Oobleck: "Mister Deamon, miss Gamma do you mind me asking what has led to you wanting to become Huntsmen?"

Y/n: "My servants used to tell me stories about Huntsmen and I guess it kinda stuck. Narberal has been one of my closest friends and so she offered joining with me."

Oobleck: "And what do you wish to do once you finished your education at Beacon?"

Y/n: "Well I am now the owner of one of Remnants biggest companies and am still a lord over a sizable piece of land. So I guess I will go and take care of that." Oobleck looked at the boy and then nodded.

Yang: "Hey." She huffed. "Why are you only watching and not helping?"

Y/n: "You guys wanted this mission, I am only here to make sure you come back alive." With the flick of his wrist three balls of fire appeared in front of Y/n and flew over Yangs head, killing three Beowolves that were about to jump her. "Don't take your eyes off of the enemy Yang. But I guess I can do some light warm up." He sheeved his sword and held up both hands to his sides. Two balls of fire the size of his head appeared hovering over them. For the theatrics Y/n closed his eyes as if concentrating. Two fireballs became 4, then 8, then 16. They split and split until their numbers became too great to count.
