"I hate the way he talked. It's like he owned everything he wanted to even tho it's not."

Nakatingin lang ako kay Daddy na patuloy sa pagsasalita. I took a sip on my coffee and continue signing the papers. Until now, he is ranting like a child because of what happened three days ago. I haven't seen Alice with her since that day.

Si Mr. Lazaga naman ay umalis sa condo 'ko dahil tutuloy daw sya sa bahay ni Alice.

"Can't he just fucking accept it that Lala is mine?! Fuck-"

"Stop it dad." i sighed. "You don't own Lala so as Mr. Lazaga. Isang buwan mo pa nga lang nakikilala si Lala 'e."

Umiwas ito ng tingin saka nagbuntong hininga.

"Wala kang alam."

"Then tell me, dad."

Imbis na sagutin ako ay tumayo lang ito at walang paalam na lumabas ng opisina. I shook my head. I badly want to tell Dad that he's getting married but i don't want to hurt his feelings.

If he love Lala, then he should cancel the wedding. Hindi 'ko rin alam kung bakit parang ang laki ng galit ni Daddy kay Mr. Lazaga.

I glance at my phone when it ring. I answered the call and leaned on my swivel chair.

"Hello, Maia?" i smiled.

"This is Levi. Maia can't come home later because we have things to do here in my apartment."

Nawala ang ngiti 'ko sa narinig. My forehead creased as i grip on my phone tight.

"I  can fetch my girl friend after you two finish your work."

"You can't. I know you have a lot of work to do and Maia don't want to be a burden to you so she chose to stay here then after we finish our work, she will come home."

"Maia would never be a burden to me." napasimangot ako. "Nasaan ba sya? I want to talk to her."

"At my room. Sige na, Larkin. Good bye."

Hindi na ako nakasagot pa ng pinatay na nito ang tawag. Nakatingin lang ako sa cellphone 'ko habang mahigpit ang kapit dito.

Jealousy and hatred are now building up inside me. Pwede namang si Maia ang tumawag sa akin pero bakit si Levi pa?!

"Why?! I am starting to think that you are fucking cheating on me."

Pabagsak kong nilapag ang aking cellphone sa lamesa at isinuklay ang aking buhok gamit ang aking daliri.

Hindi 'ko alam kung pagkakatiwalaan ko pa ba si Maia o hindi. Palagi na lang syang busy at lagi ring kasama si Levi! I badly want to talk to her about that but i am scared that she might misunderstood it. Fuck this feelings of mine! I feel dumb!

"You should break up with her. Sakit lang makukuha mo sa kanya."

Napaangat ako ng tingin. Muling umupo si Daddy sa couch at sumandal sa sandalan nito.

"You see, love is about trust. If you don't trust your partner, means your love is not pure as the water."

Nangunot ang noo 'ko. I remained silent while staring at him.

"And on what i see, you truly love Maia yet you are starting to overthink."

"Ano bang gusto mong sabihin Dad?" umiwas ako ng tingin at binalingan ang aking cellphone. It's wallpaper is Maia and me. We looked so inlove.

"I want you to realize that even if someone tell you that she loves you, you don't need to believe it that fast. You need to see if she truly loves you."
