Chapter 2 - House of the Rising Son

Klaus's voiceover - My siblings and I are the first vampires in all of history, the Original family. Centuries ago, we helped build a town called New Orleans. Now a plot by the witches has lured me back, hoping that I will defeat a tyrant, a vampire I created. My brother hopes I will find redemption through the power of family, a miracle child, part werewolf, part vampire, a Hybrid. My sister is doubtful. She thinks I am beyond redemption. Despite my brother's best efforts, I have a plan of my own. I will take back my home and reclaim what was mine. I will be King.

Marcel was seen boasting to Klaus his methods for providing fresh blood for his vampires but to Klaus it was collecting information for when he takes back his city, granted he may have given his brother to Marcel but in order for him to do what needs to be done, he has to do things his own way, yeah it will provide him to protect his child and his family.

Marcel's voiceover - The city of New Orleans....people of all stripes and flavors from all over the country come here to this city to party, to join the fun and maybe hook up with people that they don't. Just like there's some that come looking for the fun in the city... there are some that want something darker, more dangerous in their lives, they are the ones that even to people that know them, they crave the more dangerous part of the party. So for them we invite them into my home and we give them what they want.

Marcel's daywalkers are handing out flyers, one of Marcel's crew, who's name is Diego,  shows the same flyer to two tourists, a man and a woman, the flyer is headed by a large, monogrammed 'M', if you really know the city then it means Mikaelson, not Marcel, which reads:

WHERE THE PARTY

NEVER ENDS, which it never does, when people attend the party they go for the music, the dancing, the cute guys or cute girls but when the clock strikes midnight, that's when the real party starts.

The two people enter the party while looking round but before they can, they are stamped with the same 'M' that's on the flyer.

Marcel voiceover - The vampires that don't have a daylight ring are granted the chance to enjoy themselves, feed from the tourists and learn from those who have daylight rings, the tourists don't even know that they have come to be food for them, so when midnight strikes, that's when everything changes and it's time to feed.

Marcel was standing on the balcony with Klaus while watching the vampires have fun and feed, Marcel leads Klaus around so they're overlooking the party, they can see as Marcel's vampires feed ravenously on the humans that come on their own free will scream in terror, Marcel gestured to the crowd below and said "See, this is how I keep my guys happy: the occassional, all-you-can-eat buffet, granted the humans don't know that they are food but my nightwalkers love it and the daywalkers get to let loose and enjoy the time with their friends, I've gotten the nightwalkers working hard to try and get one of these daylight rings, yeah they have to prove themselves but they do that so they can enjoy the sun again without being burnt and my daywalkers, the trusted few, they just like to party" Klaus notices on one of the walls a crest that he knows all to well, it's the same 'M' monogram, along with a coiled serpent, he doesn't comment on it because he needs to get Marcel to trust him, so he can take his kingdom back, Klaus nodded his head and said "Well, Marcel, it's quite an operation you got here, tell me - what about the victims?" he gestures round and said "It seems like a lot of graves to dig" Marcel shakes his head while smiling and said "We can't kill them all, too many folks that go missing, the tourism drops" Marcel points to one of his inner circle, Diego and said "So we heal them with a little vampire blood, erase their memories only leaving that they had a great time and send them on their way, no muss, no muss and we don't have the human faction complain about them being missing" Klaus looked at Marcel in awe, Klaus said "I'm very impressed, you really have built the perfect empire" Marcel shrugged his shoulders and said "Of course I had help to build what you see, some times I have to talk to both the daywalkers and nightwalkers about the rules because there are a few that try and undermine me and not to mention, nothing I didn't learn from you back in the day" one of Marcel's vampires approaches the two, who Klaus now knows is Thierry, he said "Marcel" Klaus backed up to make room for Marcel who said "Yes, Thierry?" the vampire took a deep breath and said "As you know there are some nightwalkers missing," Marcel nodded his head and said "well six of them were killed in a bar outside of the Quarter, no one saw who killed them" Marcel looked shocked at the new and what they didn't see was Klaus looking away, he had an idea on who killed them but he had to wait until she does come here, while he was thinking that driving a red convertible was Rebekah, she looks in the mirror to see if she got every drop of blood, wipes the last bit off her cheek, smiled that she got away with it and keeps on driving .
