rational deception

When you thought about what the first day would look like, it did not look like this.
You did not expect to be standing outside in these whack-ass uniforms with a literal homeless man teaching you.

After some firecracker used his quirk to send a softball to the next atmosphere, the homeless man spoke. "Oh, and whoever gets the worst results, will be expelled."

Everyone started to wail about it or go into complete shock, you one the other hand...:"hmm...sounds festival."

You had utter confidence in yourself that you wouldn't be expelled, I mean, although you could barely do much with your quirk. You had mastered one thing to the point where you could get any better, that was good enough for some people. Besides, if you managed to fail, you were sure Shiratorizawa would welcome you with open arms.

The contest of who would come out on top begun. You made sure that a good portion of the class would eat your dust, being a pro-hero isn't exactly a team sport. If everyone else thought you were showing off your skills (which you where) then oh well, what does it matter?

When you were paired with a tall girl with stunning legs, you got ready to run. You took a glance back at the girl and she somehow had roller blades on, your eye brows knitted into confusion, but you shook it off and looked ahead.
You started to sprint off. You were incredibly fast, but that only lasted for so long. Thankfully, you didn't have to embarrasses yourself by panting like a pig when the running was over. You only had to take in a few breathes and you were back to normal.

"4.51 seconds"

"Hello." A voice sounded from behind you. When you turned around, you saw the girl you were running with. "My name is Momo Yaoyorozu."

"Y/n L/n" You said, the girl didn't seem like she would say anything else, so you walked away, to go to the next challenge.

You bombed the rest of the tests. Either getting average or slightly above average. You knew you could do better, but you would settle for this as a start. Your in the hero course for gods sake, of course you'll get more skilled.

"L/n, your up for the softball throw." The living embodiment of homelessness spoke.

The girl who had quite literally got infinity walked past you, wishing you good luck. You grabbed the ball from Aizawa's hand and made your way over to the circle. You looked at the ball for a few seconds, trying to think of how to throw the ball as far as you could.
When you got somewhat of an idea, you didn't waste time to think about it. You turned around and threw the ball in the opposite direction.

"Wrong way." Some kid with a lisp spoke.

You watched as the ball was close to hitting the ground before you used your quirk and yeeted your arm backwards, sending the ball flying past you in a matter of milliseconds. You watched the ball as it became a little dot before it rolled onto the ground.

"317 metres." Aizawa turned his phone around.

Only 317, damnit.

You cursed yourself for your shitty score. A light scowl grew on your features as you walked back to the little crowd of students. When most of the class stood a little bit away from the angry girl, one boy did not.

When you felt a tap on your shoulder, you rolled your eyes and let out a small sigh before turning around. You were met with an expressionless face and duo coloured hair. Not to mention eyes.
He's a peppermint?

"Your name is L/n, right?" The boy asked, still showing zero ouches of emotion. "Y/n L/n?"

"Yeah, what of it?" You eyed the boy.
