Aizawa kept true to his word. He stayed with you while you went to the fire station in order to get Uggie back. The majority of the car trip was silence, and you just stared out the window.
When the driver had pulled up to the station, you had practically jumped out of the seat and snatched the cruthes you had to have in order to walk.

About 3 fire officals were cleaning and restoring one of the trucks when you walked up to them. A latino woman with very muscular arms walked up to you.

"My dog-"

"There was a border collie you saved from a house fire a few days ago. This is his owner, Y/n L/n." Aizawa cut you off.

"His name? He had a collar with his name on it and I dont wanna hand out a dog to the wrong person." She took the gloves off her hands.

"Uggie. His name is Uggie." You said, shifting your body weight to your other leg.

"Alright, I'll have him out in a second." The woman turned around and started to walk. "Saehi! Come help me with this! Yuji, go make 'em welcome."

Another woman, with buzzcut walked with the muscular lady, and a man with skin pigmention came towards you.

"Ur, hey, Im Yuji." He shook hands with Aizawa, and then stuck his hand out to you, but you didnt take yours off the crutches. "Okay then... well, if you dont mind, just follow me."
He walked towards a door and held it open, you walked through first, followed by Aizawa. The sound of your crutches clicked against the tile floorboard, making two other fire fighters look up.

"Your the house on Sukeban, right?" He asked, taking a seat himself.

You nodded, starting to peel the skin off from around your nails.

"Im so sorry. We did what we could, but the fire was crazy. Im sorry for your loss." He sounded genuine.
But in the way that he didnt know you and just felt bad that someone died.

You didnt reply, you just looked away. You found a clock on the wall that was well broken. A cork board full of pictures, events and a calendar.

"Is your dog a service dog?"

"What?" You turned back around, eyebrows furrowed.

"A service dog? Or was once a police dog?" Yuji asked, cracking his knuckles.

"No, I had him since he was 4 days old, neighbours gave him to us...me" Your eyes caught a like scar on his hand. Not a new one, but but was visable.

"He's a smart dog then. He opened most of the doors himself and started barking when an old man starting to have a heart attack on the street...Real smart dog."

Before anyone could answer the door opened, and your head whipped around. There Uggie was, tail wagging and his tongue hanging out of his mouth.
When he saw you, he ran out of the fire woman's hands and sprinted straight at you.

You pushed yourself off the table and ditched the crutches all together. Uggie was licking your face and bouncing with excitment the second he got to you.
You wrapped your arms around his neck and hugged him.

You could hear the sound of the chair scrapping along the tiled floor and then being pushed back in.
"Do you mind if we talk outside."

Fucking thank you Aizawa

The fire officals agreed and they left the room. The other two that were previously in the room had left sometime veforr, so now you were alone with Uggie.

"How you doing, buddy?" You unwrapped yourself from the dog, but still patted him.

He gave a quiet bark to you and licked your face.
"Thats still gross. God, I need to clean your teeth."
He nudged his nose to your cheek.
