Note: There's gonna be a lot of pictures in this chapter and I'm sorry in advance if it gets annoying. I just suck at descriptions-still working on it-but for now just enjoy 'em pictures 😉 I know you guys love them secretly anyways!

"What exactly did she say?" Loretta whispered, huddling into the little circle we made on Jasper and Tyler's single couch.

"Well...she didn't say anything in particular. Just acted weird when I mentioned Fray's past victims and looked like she had no idea about them." I was still recovering from the reel of the whole encounter.

I was partly puzzled, mostly confused. Something rubbed me off the wrong way and it was frustrating that I couldn't figure out what it was.

"If you ask me, there's nothing too weird about that. We'd only assumed she was in depth, if not on the same page with us when it came to digging up on Fray. Maybe she was just starting out. Perhaps, had an idea of him being a threat but whose life it was, in peril, she was still yet to find out. It could even be that she had no idea about anyone being in danger. She's just a nosy student with a hunch that her literature professor isn't entirely innocent as he is supposed to be. We just assumed the rest for her and expected her to be on the same page." Shay reasoned and I got to thinking.

"I agree with Shay." Loretta replied and the pair spared a moment to lock gazes. Things between them was still rocky. But for our little snooping/inquisitive undercover-well not so undercover since Fray already knew about it-business, they'd not said one word to each other.

"And she was probably surprised you knew she was onto him." Loretta continued. They really made sense. Their explanation was much more plausible than anything else opposing to it.

I sighed, finally shaking off the confuzzled feeling. I looked up, catching Elliot's eyes from the kitchen as he poured cereal into a bowl. He smiled and blew me a kiss. I mimicked his smile and caught the kiss, placing it on my heart.

He grinned and turned back to his bowl, shaking his head in amusement.

"You're right. Maybe I'm being too paranoid and all your explanations are right." I said, turning back to the girls. They nodded their agreement and Shay said.

"How about we leave her out of the picture for now? Let her do her own thing and find out stuff on her own-"

"What are you girls whispering about? You've been doing that ever since Sierra got here." Elliot asked as he made his way towards us. We moved out of our huddle, breaking the circle.

"Uhh...it's none of your business?" It sounded like a question with an underlying duh to it. Elliot scowled at his sister, kicked her shin as he passed her.
