"Hey..." I called softly over Lore. Her eyes were slowly fluttering open. She gave a drowsy smile back and whispered a response.

"You're good." Shay told her and leant over to swipe at her forehead. She nodded slowly in acknowledgment.

"Can you help me up?" Loretta asked and we carefully guided her into a sitting position. Suddenly, the doors pushed open with a force none of us were expecting.

"Oh my baby!" Called a short woman with similar sandy brown hair hurrying over to her bed. I just knew that was Loretta's mom. She had huge bags under her eyes from stress. I pulled away, giving her space to talk to her daughter.

"Mom." Lore called in exasperation as her mom smothered her with kisses and tears and mumblings.

I looked over to the side to see Elliot with two other men. One looked like the exact copy of Elliot and the other had Loretta's eyes.

"Hey kiddo." The man with her eyes called sadly and Shay stepped away as he maneuvered around and finally came to a stop beside her.

"Pops!" Loretta had a gleeful expression on as if the circumstances in which she was meeting her dad wasn't bad at all.

He tried to keep a strict look on as he scolded, "You don't ever keep stuff like that from us, do you understand?!"

Loretta's lips turned down remorsefully and he looked over at the other man. I was guessing he was Elliot's dad.

"Don't look at me. I'm with him on this." She huffed and let out.

"I'm not a kid anymore. I can take care of myself."

"No. Your parents will take care of you! You think you're so grown now? Ha! You're just a little girl." Her father said once more. I could see the love brightening his eyes.

"Maybe just taller now." Elliot's father added and Loretta's mother chuckled.

"Don't fucking scare us again!" She said and the men rolled their eyes.

"Really Lorraine? There are kids here. Must you cuss?" Lore's dad asked. She shrugged and then turned to me.

"Don't you say fuck? See? They already cuss!" I never even answered but okay then.

Shay and Elliot snickered. Loretta smiled.

"Mom, Dad, Eddy, this is Sierra my friend." She introduced then turned to me.

"Sierra, that's my mom. My Dad, Peter and my stepdad, Edward."

"It's nice to-" Lorraine engulfed me in a hug, cutting me off.

"I think you're cutting off her circulation, honey." Eddy said and Lorraine shot him a warning look. He backed down.

Peter shot me a welcoming smile and patted my hair. I lowered down into his palm and I smiled politely.
