Aaron Z's POV

He stood in front of the stove of their dorm where he stirred eggs in a pan. He was making breakfast for the band and while most of the members weren't morning people, he was always up bright and early and never minded making food for everyone.

Aaron Z felt soft fingers slide around his hips. They were cold to the touch against his bare skin. He flinched away reflexively but heard a satisfied giggle and turned to see T hugging him from behind with a mischievous grin. He felt his cheeks redden and shook his head with a small smile.

"Good Morning, Zee!" The smaller man chirped. Z resisted the urge to turn and squash his friend in a bear hug. No matter how manly Aaron T claimed to be, he was adorable in Z's eyes.

"'Morning," he said and turned back to the eggs. He stirred them around the pan once more while T still held onto him. He didn't mind. T was always the clingy type and he'd gotten used to it- he'd even grown to like it a little.

"So, what are you gonna do today?" His friend asked. The band had a day off and each member was free to do as they'd like. They lived in a dorm together that was nice and spacious; it was paid for and managed by their record label and company. Living in the dorm helped the band become as close as they were, and making music was easy when they were constantly together.

On their days off, they often went home to visit their families. Jesse had two kids to care for and Robaire often visited his girlfriend. Tae and T were very family-oriented and went home, leaving Z alone oftentimes. He'd go to the library and read sometimes and on others, he'd spend the day at a local basketball court.

Today was different though. Z had a goal. T's parents were away for the weekend for their anniversary, so T had no one to go home to. He'd stay in their dorm meaning that it gave Z his opportunity. He'd be a fool to pass up the chance.

"Um," Z began. He glanced at T who was still looking at him from behind with a wide smile. He stirred his eggs again. "I was actually wondering if you, uh, wanna, uh..."

Suddenly he could smell smoke from his pan. He turned with a gasp and scraped feverishly at his eggs. T pulled away from him and rushed to turn off the stove.

"Damn it," Z muttered as he scraped his pan. Burnt eggs clung to the dark pan and the foul scent of burnt food filled his nose.

"It's okay," T assured him. He helped him scrape the eggs onto a plate. He then paused. "What were you going to ask?"

Z pulled away. "No," he told him. "Nothing."

T gave him a teasing smile. He placed the pan into the sink and covered it in dish soap, running cold water over the pan to cool it.

"I'll do it," Z told him quietly. After all, he was the one who messed up his eggs in the first place. He slid his hands into the sink and took the pan and spatula from his friend's hands. They brushed his fingers for a slight moment but it was fast enough that he was able to resist dwelling on it.

Z took a deep breath. He licked his lips and set his gaze on T.

"Go out with me," he said to him. His voice was stronger and more confident than he thought it would be. T looked at him with wide eyes.

"What?" he asked him and Z scrubbed the pan again.

"Let's go to the movies today," he said again. T's hands fell to his sides. Soapy water drops dripped to the floor.

Just as T opened his mouth to reply, Robaire shuffled into the kitchen, mumbling a good morning to the two. His eyes were still half-closed from his drowsiness.
