"Brandon do you have to play tomorrow, its Christmas baby?"Kesi queried as she stepped away from Kaia and Kwesi who were decorating the Christmas tree in her and Brandon's apartment. She'd moved in with him as soon as she graduated and it had been a great few months but he spent so much time at practice and now it seemed to hit her just how much. She'd be all alone here in this apartment if it wasn't for her dad and Amelia coming in with her siblings.
Kasim also had a game so he'd be missing Christmas with the family.
She wrapped her arms around her fiance's waist, he was looking at his phone so his back was turned to her. As soon as her arms encircled him, he kissed her forehead and smiled sadly down at her.
"Unfortunately cookie but I'll be home as soon as it's over and we'll have an amazing Christmas together as always, especially if we win you know."
He kissed her nose causing her to blush before he put his phone down and made her release so he could turn and wrap her in his arms.
He interlaced their fingers and looked down at her hand which bore his ring, it glittered just like it did when he bought it for her, one of the most nerve-wracking decisions he'd made. He wanted to give her everything, he still did as he nestled his chin against her curly hair and looked beyond them to the two four-year-olds who were putting green and silver ornaments on their huge Christmas tree.
This was what his future would be, Kesi, kids, home, family. He couldn't wait for that especially since most of the wedding planning had been done, Kesi would have his last name in February on the 13th, their honeymoon would be on Valentines Day.
"Fine, you make a point, I just like waking up late and rolling over with you, we can't do that probably ever."
"Maybe not but you'll always go to bed with me, I'll always be by your side, I'll always wake you up with kisses." He started to kiss all over her face making her grin "just so you wake up and I can say goodbye to you before I go, always."
"Ewww, Kesi you'll get cooties!"
Kwesi yelled from across the room breaking them up and Brandon laughed before shaking his head.
"Your brother is such a badass little kid I swear."
Kesi shook her head before walking over to Kwesi and attacking him with kisses, he screamed and tried to push her off.
"COOTIES! COOTIES! EWWWWWW KESIIIIII!"
Kaia soon joined in and began to kiss her brother as well which only increased his screaming. When they finally released him, he ran over to Brandon and grabbed onto his leg, begging for protection. Everyone was laughing but little Kwesi Bledsoe.
"It's alright man, you know how much you gone wish that could happen to you in the future, two girls showin' you love? You got more game than plenty guys I play with."
Brandon laughed but Kwesi didn't budge, he wasn't feeling it at all.
"Kesi don't do that again please?"
He begged and Kesi raised her hands in surrender.
"Fine I won't, but Brandon has to go and I have to get you two back to Dad and Amelia at the hotel so get your things together."
Kaia ran off towards the back followed by Kwesi and Kesi walked up to Brandon whose eyes never left her frame the whole time.
"Two girls are the dream huh?"
She raised her eyebrow which made B laugh , he could sense the pettiness brewing , he liked this game. It was probably the only one he played with her , saying things just to see the look on her face.
"Yeah , it's a pretty basic dream for guys."
The smirk on his face made his light brown eyes seem even brighter and Kesi had to refrain from looking at them so she could keep up her act of slight offense.
"Is that so?"
She crossed her arms and leveled with him , his grin was spreading now at her tiny frame blocking him.
"I mean yeah , for basic guys but I'm not one you know , I dream differently."
Kesi cocked her head to the side and Brandon mirrored her , he couldn't help but smile whenever he looked at her. His hand went to run through her hair but she moved slightly away from him , feigning frustration. He could tell she was playing , when she really was frustrated she crinkled her nose in the cutest way.
"How do you dream?"
Her voice was low, soft and inviting , he wished he didn't have to leave her now but he had an emergency practice.
"I dream about you , the family I want with you , keeping you happy , mine. I'm the best so therefore I like having the best of everything , I fell in love with the finest girl in the world , it's hard not to think about it much less dream of it getting better. You know?"
He smiled brightly at her as a blush rose on her cheeks and she rolled her eyes.
"Whatever , that better be all you dream of."
He gave her a quick peck on the lips before he pulled her in again.
"Of course it is cookie , since middle school. Now gimme kiss before I head out and stop being petty with me."
He smiled down at her and she rolled her eyes as a smile crept on her face. His soft lips collided onto hers and she closed her eyes at the sensation , after all this time there were still sparks, there always would be probably.
"Stop playing with me so much B."
"Can't promise that, I love when you play along."
"SO maybe I should stop."
She wondered aloud but Brandon shook his head at her.
"You can't , this is just us cookie. I gotta go before I'm late again."
He kissed her lips once more then, her forehead before heading for the door.
"Be safe and play well baby! I love you"
Kesi yelled after him as his frame nearly disappeared from her sight.
"I love you more!"
He yelled back as the door shut and Kesi fell against the counter. She looked around her at the elegant , modern furniture, the huge Christmas tree , the spacious kitchen and open floor plan of their loft. The stairs which lead to her and Brandon's bedroom.
"Kesiii, are you ready to marry Brandon?"
Kaia's little voice piped up shaking Kesi out of her thoughts, she surveyed the curly haired little version of Amelia and smiled.
"More than ready, since the day I first met him."
