"Kesi stop playing."
Brandon sighed as he pulled Kesi closer to him . She shook his hold and laughed as she walked ahead of him into the Macy's store.
"I'm not , just get what you want to get me , what you think I'd like."
He sucked his teeth at this , he didn't know Kesi to be ungrateful, he knew she'd be happy with whatever he got her or did for her but this was their first Christmas as a couple and he wanted to get her something special.
She'd already saved his life and helped him pick something out for his mother and sister as well as dad and brother. Now here he was watching her go through perfumes at the Lancome counter to find a gift for Amelia.
"There's nothing you want specifically , cookie?"
He asked her once more and she turned away from the perfume and looked at him. She put both of her hands on his face and kissed his lips , he was pouting at her and she thought he was so adorable.
He was acting like such a baby , she was just glad they were spending Christmas together.
"B , I got you and my family , that's all I want , to be with the people I love."
He kissed her forehead before exhaling and deciding to walk around while she picked out a scent. He wanted to see if there was anything in here that caught his eye so he could come back and get it for her. He knew she loved flowers , chocolate chip cookies and bags but he didn't remember what designer she was on right now. She had a few Michael Kors bags ,a Louis Vuitton and a Chanel but he wasn't making Louis or Chanel money and she'd always tell Aziah she wanted a white bag, maybe he'd go to Michael Kors with his mom and pick something up from there.
"Brandon Ingram , that you?"
He looked up at brown eyes , his ex-girlfriend Tiffany was staring at him with a smile on her face. Her hair was dyed red and her make up was as flawless as he always remembered it being.
"Hey , yeah , how are you doing Tiff?"
He asked her and she smiled even wider, she kept eye contact with him.
"I'm great , especially seeing you. What you forgot about us little people in Kinston? You never come back and say what's up."
"I'm just busy is all, I try to keep up with my friends."
"Yeah? Like Tae , Barb and Chloe , your ass always had a bunch of girl bestfriends."
Brandon rolled his eyes at her, she always fussed about them when they were together , those girls were just friends, he didn't even really get the chance to talk to them like he used to since Duke.
"What? Don't roll your eyes at me, you know girls were all over you , you up for the NBA next year right?"
He now remembered exactly why they broke up, the dollar signs that flashed in her eyes at NBA. She switched up on him , the money was her motive.
"Something like that."
Was all he replied but she didn't get the dismissal in his tone. Brandon started looking around for Kesi , she had to be done by now.
"Well , if you not too busy we should do something B, like old times you know?"
Brandon nodded but he wasn't gone hit her ass up , he was looking all around for Kesi.
Tiffany spotted her first , Kesi was walking over. Tiffany never liked Kesi she was always with Brandon , blocking her. When Kesi left that's when she swooped in and claimed her prize. She wasn't going to let Kesi get in the way again. She'd lost Brandon sometime before he went to duke but she wanted him back.
