Five Years Later
"Mommy! Mommy!"
The tinsel-like voice of their five-year-old woke Kesi from her reverie. She was reviewing case files and had completely lost herself in them. Corporate Law was treating her well enough , she worked at a cushy law firm in a small office and had a pretty good record considering she was practically fresh out of school.
Soon the chorus grew by one other small voice. Almost the entire house was evidently up. Blasting the door open one-and-a-half-year-old Kismet followed Kaidence who plopped herself down in her mother's office chair. Kaidence had somehow went from Brandon's twin to the perfect blend of he and Kesi. The little girl even had a unique eye color, it was amber, a lighter brown than he father with streaks of green that would appear and disappear depending on lighting.
However Kismet and her fraternal twin brother BJ were all Brandon. Kismet looked a great deal like her aunt Brittany and BJ despite having Kesi's eyes and smile was definitely his father.
"Mommy , I'm hungry and I don't want daddy's samwiches"
Kaidence grumbled as Kismet nodded in agreement. Shaking her head at the two Kesi placed her papers to the side while getting up.
"Where is your daddy?"
"In the kitchen with BJ"
Of course, Brandon had taken to his junior tremendously. Kesi had found out she was pregnant with twins a month after passing the bar exam. Evidently, they'd celebrated far too much. The twins were true to the 2 theme of the family and were born December 2nd, 2023. As soon as January swung back into effect Kesi had found work with her dad's LA firm which now had expanded to having three branches in New Orleans, Tennessee and New York City.
