[Before We Begin, None Of This Is Canon. Please Understand.]
The sun was just on the horizon of Gensokyo, as the warmth of daylight fast approached. Everyone was asleep, but what laid ahead would once again change Gensokyo forever. As birds started chirping and people began waking up, our story begins.
Reimu woke up to Marisa at her side, spooning her. She yawned and turned to face her. Marisa then woke too.
"Good morning." she said, yawning.
"Good morning to you too." Reimu replied.
They both got up and prepared breakfast.
"Thanks for letting me stay." Marisa said at the now existent table.
"Any time. You're always welcome here."
"So, how have you been?"
"Great. I've enjoyed myself the past few months. What about you?"
"I'm alright."
"Good."
They continued talking while eating at the table, which now exists because plot reasons.
At the Scarlet Devil Mansion...
Flandre was playing with two undamaged teddy bears, while talking with Remilia. They were, as well, sitting at a table that just exists because plot reasons.
"Do I sleep in the day or in the night?" she asked, seemingly to Remilia.
"What?"
"Aren't vampires supposed to sleep in the day and come out in the night?"
"What are you? A child?"
"Yes."
"True, true, I guess you are. Well, we don't really have to go to sleep at any given time. I'm awake both day and night, but generally prefer going outside at night. No sun to end our bloodline."
"Wouldn't that make us more likely to sleep during the day?"
"Whatever, just eat whatever human Sakuya killed for us."
"I like Sakuya. She's nice."
Remilia stopped eating and looked up at Flandre.
"What do you mean, 'like' her?"
Flandre looked at her for a second or two.
"Oh, no, no! Not like that! Just, as a person."
"Good. She's already mine." Remilia said.
"Why don't people like me?" Flandre asked.
Remilia stopped again.
"Why would you say that? Of course people like you." Remilia said, not at all convincingly.
"No, they don't. You're with Sakuya, Meiling sleeps all day, Patchouli sits in the library every day, Marisa's with Reimu, Alice is weird, Youmu doesn't come here often, Yukari does nothing but talk, no one cares about Eirin and Youmu's boss whose name I neglected to learn barely even comes outside. That just leaves that weird rabbit, the evil girl with big ears and that annoying girl with the camera."
"Wow. That's... quite a long list. But I do see your point. Maybe it's time you do something different."
"Different? What do you mean?"
"Have you ever seen a boy before?"
"What."
"A boy."
"What is that."
"Ask Sakuya, I honestly have no idea either."
Later, they all got up and headed to Hakurei Shrine.
As they arrived, they settled down and talked about stuff.
Reimu was talking to Sakuya.
"So, I don't actually know much about you."
"Yes..."
"So can I ask you a few questions about yourself?"
"Ok, but nothing too personal."
"Did you have a family outside of Gensokyo?" Reimu asked.
"I did."
"Who and what were they?"
"My father was a vampire hunter and my mother died when I was born." Sakuya said. "That's all you need to know."
"Fine."
The two of them sat in awkward silence.
