Chapter 23: Rinnosuke

[Before We Begin, None Of This Is Canon. Please Understand.]

In Gensokyo, while there are barely any men, there was one shopkeeper naked Rinnosuke. He would stay around his shop most of the time, mostly residing around that area. Most people never really saw him, only sometimes seeing him wandering around his shop. He had a fairly peaceful life. He was not a boy like the previous three that were there. This was a man.

He and Marisa were quite well acquainted, like brother and sister, even though they barely saw each other. They were quite good friends, and they had built a solid friendship. On an unrelated topic, there was an issue arising in the Scarlet Devil Mansion. Rumours were beginning to spread.

"Apparently there's a beast contained inside it!" one person said.

"Underneath the mansion there's a dragon made of fire!" said another.

After a few days, Rinnosuke heard about this and decided to actually be social for the first time in years. As he went into the main area where everyone was, everyone immediately went over the moon because of his looks. He seemed like a perfectly desirable man to everyone else. He wandered over to the mansion, remaining as antisocial as possible.

As he approached the door, it opened by itself. The gatekeeper was nowhere to be seen. He walked inside. Sakuya was cleaning around the mansion before the two accidentally walked into each other.

They both stood in awkward silence, just staring at each other.

"..." Rinnosuke didn't say anything.

"W...w..." Sakuya ran off.

Rinnosuke still did nothing. He continued looking for a fire dragon.

For some reason there was a random hole that led straight to the dragon just because plot reasons. As he went inside, the temperature rose dramatically.

There was, indeed, a fire dragon sleeping on the floor. Flandre was sitting next to it, singing a lullaby.
