When she tries to buy a charger for her laptop, he yanks the cash out of her hand to give it to the cashier. He keeps walking in front of her to lead the way, and when they run into a Career Soldier who wants to see their papers, he even fucking grabs them out of her hands.
They don't have her actual information, Rosalie couldn't risk that, of course, but it's more the act that pisses her off. That's her papers, personal papers. Suddenly, she feels as if she's within his body because the only thing she knows is rage. Rosalie is too scared to bring attention to them, they're supposed to act like a couple of friends, and she's not going to be dumb enough to break their cover with the sort of loud argument she's yearning for right now.
After some hostility from James, the Career Soldier leaves them alone, and they're able to pass into the shaggy neighbourhood where Carol's apartment is located. They only just make it into the apartment before Rosalie twirls on her feet, taking no time to even note her surroundings, but she feels how freezing it is.
"Can you fucking start believing that I actually know what I'm doing!" She snaps and glares at him.
"What're you talkin' about?"
"You're fucking brainless – all the fucking questions, literally ripping cash out of my hand? I mean, fuck, taking my papers!? That's so not fucking okay!"
"That was like hours ago, why d'you even still care?" He grumbles and walks through the entryway into a living room with a dining table where he sets his bags down.
"Because it's still not okay! Don't you see how many boundaries you're stepping over while doing that?"
"Are you always this uptight?"
"Barnes! I'm not kidding!" He finally looks at her. "Don't fucking do that shit. I'm good at this, and in case you forgot, I fucking stayed out of Hydra's claws for two years on my own. I don't need you!" She hisses while walking closer and closer until her finger is pointing right up at his face.
"Relax, Kasten-"
"Don't fucking tell me to relax," she huffs and waits for an apology or something similar.
