𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝛐𝐥𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐒𝐚𝐦 and Rosalie knew each other, but not how exactly – or in what way. Obviously, she's done more to her appearance tonight than she usually does, and she looks good. Really fucking good. Bucky called Steve earlier to get some more info on her, but he wasn't that eager to tell him anything.
That thing when they first talked about her bounty is nagging at him again. Steve knows her, and more than he wants to let show. He tried talking to Natalia and Barton about what they knew about her, and he mentioned Castor, but they didn't want to speak badly about Rosalie. And he doesn't even want to start on what Carol might think of her.
He doesn't get it. She isn't very likeable, in his opinion. She's so fucking arrogant and thinks she's smarter than everyone. And she knows exactly how good she looks too. He tries telling himself it's just because of the close proximity, she's stuck in his head, but then she was gone the whole day without ever disappearing from his mind.
The fucking way her body feels against his, the way she smiled on his lap in the car. Every time he's closing his eyes, it's like she's there again, doing more, touching him with that sweet-smelling floral scent she carries. It's infuriating. He's not used to it, being like that with someone else. It makes him on edge.
There's one other thing about her that still interests him. How on earth she's been able to stay alive for as long as she has. It's obvious she isn't strong. Maybe she can throw a few punches, but that doesn't help much. She went for a knife instead of a gun when she took his weapons at the motel. There has to be a reason. The gun would be most people's obvious choice. Maybe she just flirts her way through everyone. He knows she'd be damn good at it.
The car comes to a stop, and he gets out first, sending the driver a nod while she stumbles out. The shirt she's in has her whole cleavage on display and her ass looks perfectly round in her pants. It's nothing compared to that dress she wore in the photo, but he never thought someone could look that good in a simple shirt and pants. A simple glance won't hurt, he thinks before following her.
The bar is old school. It's easy to see what type of people hang out around here. Two men are standing outside, talking and smoking. They could probably smoke inside, which means they're keeping watch. Bucky clocks the holster on both of them, guns.
"Put your arm over me," Rosalie hisses under her breath, and he spots the wild look in her eyes.
"You're a pussy," Bucky grumbles, but he puts his arm over her shoulders, pulling her closer to him as he leads them into the bar.
As suspected, the room is filled with smoke, and how the smell of alcohol can even get through the curtain of tobacco is beyond him. There are plenty of people inside. Career Soldiers are sitting everywhere in their black and white camo uniforms with the star and cross symbol littered over everything.
