>>OFF POV>>
Tay and New walked ahead with Gun walking slightly behind them. If New's mother just did't request that I accompany him home then I would not be here in this little trip he made on the spot with Tay.

I was lost in thoughts when I noticed Gun slowing his pace just so that he would be walking beside me.

"About this morning..."he started in a weak voice with my voice trailing away. I can't help but notice his ears started to turn red. He looked away and tried to avoid my eyes.

"It's nothing." I said when he was trying hard to find the words.

"You really don't talk much, do you?" he looked up at me squiting his eyes.

"No." I muttered.

"You and New seems to be the complete opposite." he pointed out. "He's very outgoing and talkative while you're very quiet and complicated person"

I suddenly stopped in my tracks and looked at him. I'm complicated? Yes I'm quiet but how in the world am I complicated?!

He also stopped when he noticed that I was still planted on my place. He walked towards me, hugged my arm, and dragged me to follow Tay and New.

"I noticed you have a Patel." he said while we were walking. "I also noticed the disgusted looks that 'the chihuahua' girl had when you were packing your things. I'm new but based on how things went, it seems that you allowed them to just belittle and mock you like that."

"It's tiring..." I siad without bothering to continue.

"It's tiring to defend yourself. But more than that, you find that it would be too belittling if you retort and stoop to their level." he continued taking the words from my mouth.

I felt touched that someone who just met me today could seem to understand me more than those who've been with me for years.

He changed the subject and started talking about his day. He was just a bundle of joy and energy that he talked continuously. He only stopped when we got to our destination.

We were in the cafe where New would pass the time when he was not yet in the mood to go home. New accidentally found this place when he left his wallet at home. It was because of this incident that his mom requested I take him home.

"The same?" Mild, the barista smiled when we reached the counter.

I gave a little nod. New said an enthusiastic 'Yes' before going to our usual booth on the corner.

"I see you brought new friends. What woudl you like?" she asked them.

"I'll just have the same as New."  Tay smiled and followed New to our table.

Gun was struggling to make his decision and ended up saying, "How about I take the same as yours?" he asked me.

Mild, being a good judge of people's coffee choices looked at Gun in horror.

"Umm... would you like your coffee sweet, creamy, or bitter?" I asked Gun. Mild looked relieved when I asked the question. I also don't think he can handle my coffee as I want mine black.

"Extremely sweet." he said matching it with a very sweet smile that showed his dimples.

"P'Mild, what would you suggest?" I asked her because I don't know much apart from my order or New's creamy coffee.

Mild gave her suggestion and described the coffee to Gun, to which he agreed. He even ordered several pastries and a couple of cake slices.

"Gun, go ahead and join them. I follow shortly." I told him after he placed his order.
