>>  OFF POV >>

It seems that Mae and Gun still went to another botique without even bothering to reserve us a table.  I already took the liberty of booking us a table and waited as we were 5th on the list. Though I gave them my number, I decided to relax a bit and sit on the provided chairs for those waiting in line.

This has yet been the most tiring day not because of the shopping spree but because I wanted to keep myself in check.

There I was watching people pass me by - some alone, some  in pairs and some in groups. The same thing about them and me are that we were all engrossed in our own little world.

It was like that for while when a couple stopped infront of me chating.

Girl : How sad for that cute little boy.

Boy: There you are again being gossipy. It looks like his mom is trying hard to pacify him.

Girl: I know. She looks lost and looking for someone, probably the dad.

Boy: If we didn't have dinner reservations, I bet you would've snooped long enough to wait for the other person to arrive.

Girl: Hehehe. Yeah, oh you know me too well, Hun. I just feel bad for the cute little boy. He seems to have been crying for a while now.

That wast the last part of the conversation as they had already were out of earshot. Wait. Little boy crying? I don't suppose... It can't be. Before I could even process anything, my feet were already rushing towards the direction the couple came from.

As it was dinner time, many people were already going towards my direction as that was where most of the restaurants were located.

Despite the sea of people, my eyes have caught the image of a little guy, who has buried his face on his hands. His shoulders bobbing up and down. I can't see anyone but him.

I rushed and wrapped him in my arms.

"What's wrong? Are you hurt anywhere?" I patted his back and tried to check for any injuries. I'm sure Mae would've done a better job patching him up but what the hell?? I was woried, alright?!

"Finally! Where have you been?" Mae scolded which I tried to ignore as I stroked his back.

He seems to have been slowly calmed down in my arms.

"What happened to you?" I asked worriedly as I looked into his eyes. He just kept quiet, buried his face back to my chest, and shook his head.

I looked at Mae and waited for a response. She just smiled when she looked at me, at us. The heck is wrong with this woman?

"Mae, honestly, what happened?" I finally asked.

"Not my fault. It's all on you."

"What do you mean? I just placed the bags in the car and went straight to the restaurant. When you guys didn't show up I looked around to find this." Exasperation evident in my voice.

"So you already reserved us a table?" I frowned at her absurd question but managed to nod. So she continued, "Good, then I'll wait for you two at the restaurant because I'm hungry. Don't make me wait too long." she said leaving us alone amidst the sea of passersby.

I held him by the shoulders and led him to a hallway with much fewer people.

"Talk to me, Gun. What's wrong? Tell me, please. Did Mae tell you anything? Or was it me? Did I do anything wrong?" I rambled amidst my worries.

"No, Papi. It was me. I'm sorry about what I said last night. I love you. I also like spending time with New and P'Tay. Its just that wanted to spend sometime with me and my friends and I ended up saying something stupid. I know things happened during break that makes you very worried. I just wanted you to trust me that I can also take care of myself. I didn't expect that I'd say those things causing you to avoid me and giving me the cold shoulder. I hated it. I was hurt knowing I hurt you. again." He said with tears forming in his eyes.
