>> GUN POV >>

I was looking forward to next week. After Papi's final appointment, we went straight to my house to pack. I'm staying over Papi's as Por has already left for business trip abroad and won't be back til next year. While I'm sad that Por won't be with me on New Year again, I'm happy aa I can accompany Papi to his trip.

Just this week alone, he was able to close 14 deals. 6 of which needs to be completed in the coming week.

I was already dumping clothes on the bed so that I can easily sort which ones I can bring. I won't have this dilemma if Papi didn't tell me to keep it to hand carry luggage only.

"Gun, " Papi looked like he was hesitating so I sat down infront of him to listen. He took a deep breath and continued. "I need to finish 6 walls this week. It means I can finish it in 5days if I'm going to work without any breaks. You still need to add the 6-8 hour travel time between the 2 towns and the travel from and to the airport."

"Papi, what exactly are you trying to say?" I asked.

"I might have time to accompany you on this trip. I'll be really busy. Are you sure you want to come?" He finally said it.

"Papi, you promised I can go." I said as calmly as I could.

"I'm not saying you can't go. I'm just worried you might be bored." He explained.

"If I would be really that bored, then I will go to the beach. I checked out the addresses, they're all beach front." I said.

"I'm not really comforrtable with you wandering by yourself."

"P'Off," I said as firmly as I could, "if you don't want me to go just say so." I moved to the other side of the bed.

"Gun..." he called out as he moved closer. "Don't sulk na. You know I'm just worried about you being bored or alone or hurt."

He sat down beside me and held my hand. I can't help but fown at how rough his hands have turned from creating sculptures at night. He said he wanted to get a better grasp on 3D work but I can't help but worry at how he's working too much.

He soothingly rubbed the back of my hand with his thumbs as I could feel him staring at me. He's the only one who could pacify me like that. Even my ex-boyfriend couldn't be in the same room when I'm not the least bit pleased.

"Are you still sulking?" he asked when I turned to look at him. I just shook my head. He nodded and said, "I'll wait while you finish packing."

I just nodded my head then added, "Can I now bring a bigger bag?"

"Up to you." he just said as sat down on my bean chair at the corner of the room.

He had already fallen fast asleep on my bean chair when I finished packing. As he barely slept the past few days, I covered him with a blanket to get his much needed shut eye.

>> OFF POV >>

I felt quite refreshed when I woke up from Gun's bean chair and him lying on my lap. It was three hours til our scheduled flight. I'm just thankful that I've packed my materials beforehand.

I've already arranged the paint to be delivered by a local business partner. It was slightly more expensive than what I could buy here but that's before the shipping fees and the hassle. I still had to pack a couple of pints that were not available in their warehouse.

I was about to wake him when I noticed his largest luggage beside him. I guess he really doesn't know how to pack light.

"Gun, you need to wake up." I gently nudged him.
