>> OFF POV >>

"Good morning, Papi!" Gun has been jumping on the bed for quite a while.

"What time is it?" I said.

"It's seven o'clock! Wake up!" He continued jumping.

"Ai Baa! It's too early. Let me sleep some more. I just slept a couple of hours ago." I mumbled and hid under the blanket.

Just then I heard my alarm go off. I jumped up and changed into a ragged, paint stained, originally white (I guess it was white shirt and tattered pants.

"Great you now listen to your alarm clock but not to me." Gun sulked.

"I need to go to XX City to work on a mural. I've already pushed this a couple of times." I explained as I carefully packed several brushes, pencils, and a spare roller head.

"No! Wait! Stop!" he suddenly exclaimed when I took 2 sets of clothes from the closet.

"Are you ok?" I asked as I dumped the clothes in my bag.

"No." he pouted.

"what's wrong?" I asked.

"Why are you packing clothes? Mae said that she'll bring us shopping today." he said.

"Shopping? Me? Nope. Not a chance. I can't handle a days worth of shopping." I said.

"Still why are you packing your clothes?" he said.

"I'm sleeping there." I said. " I was planning to finish my work by tomorrow evening just to makeup for the lost time."

I walked towards him and whispered, "I was still thinking how to invite you to XX City. The place I'm staying at has a nice beach."

I took as step back and observed his reaction. He seems to be torn between shopping and the beach.

"Really? You're choosing shopping over me?" I acted hurt. "I suggest you start thinking on how you'll explain your busted lip."

"I'll tell the truth includinig the fact that you broke someone's face." he challenged.

Two can play this game. "Ahh... that would be unfortunate. I'd have to spend a couple of weeks in the province again. I'm sure they have tons of work ready for me. So I guess I'll see you next month then."

"You're obviously blackmailing me." he whined.

I ruffled his hair, "Alright. I'll stop teasing you."  I turned to get my toiletries.

I carried my bag and said, "I am serious about the invite though." He looked at me very much shocked. I added, "Why don't you think about it over breakfast?"

"Off, are you going somewhere?" Mae asked as I arrived at the dining room.

"I have work at XX City.." I firmly said. I hope I got my message across that I need to leave today.

"Aw that's just too sad. Por and Gun's Por are arriving this afternoon and would like to take us out for dinner." Mae said.

"Por's coming home?" Gun asked as he popped from behind me.

"Gun, why are you hiding behind Off. Take a seat so we can eat." Mae said. "How about you Off? Can you still join us for breakfast?"

"No need. I'm in a rush. I'll grab something from the fridge that I can eat on the road. " I said as I looked into the fridge for any fillng snack.

"Off, I may not understand kids fashion nowadays but would it be possible for you to wear your other clothes?" Mae pointed at my clothes.

I grabbed a banana from the fridge. "I can wear the new clothes you bought but don't scold me if it gets covered with paint." I said in between bites.
