Erik was still shaking and mumbling propechy lines. "What's wrong with him?"Beatriz asked as Valentina lie him down on the couch.
"I-I Don't know!"Valentina tapped her foot on the floor nervously. "Should I... maybe- heal him?"Edie asked.
"Edith. You've done enough already."Jade said. Erik coughed, feathers grew across his arms. "Enough? Enough?! Erik's spewing propechies out of his mouth every day!"Valentina yelled. I winced at the noise, I was bit sensetive to noise at the moment.
"I- I can heal him!"Edie smiled.
"DON'T!"Jade yelled.
"Please!"Valentina said at the same time. Edie stared at the floor. I walked over to her as Jade and Valentina argued.
"I think... You know what's right."I told her. She nodded, walking over to Erik. I watched as she placed her hand gently against the kid's head, he stirred in his sleep before falling off the couch. Oof. Edie fell backwards, Beatriz caught her, thankfully.
"Who made her do that?!"Jade huffed.
"She... wanted to."I answered.
Valentina ran over to Erik, who seemed disoriented. "Ow... ow. Ow. Ow. Ow."Erik grabbed onto his head, the room was silent.
"Shut up, please."The kid said to no one. "Erik... no one... said anything."Valentina told him.
"The propechies... getting worse."Erik mumbled.
"Getting worse? What do you mean getting worse?"Jade interrogated.
"Used to be mumuring n' stuff... now it's... like this."Erik groaned once again. "Isn't this a good thing?"I finally spoke up. Everyone turned their heads.
"I mean... we finally have someone to give us propechies."I explained.
"Yeah.. but... it kinda hurts."Erik murmured.
"You'll get used to it. The demons chose you."Jade entered the conversation. "Why can't they choose someone... less hot, less amazing, less me."Erik scowled.
"Well. I think we should introduce camp to our newest oracle, at lunch, of course."Beatriz sipped from her teacup.
We headed to the outdoor eating area.
Beatriz yelled "LAST ONE TO LUNCH CLEANS THE BATHROOMS!" into a megaphone, everyone in camp put their hands over their ears, it really effected me, I jumped, wincing. My hearing aid still rang even after the yell. The campers flooded towards the lunch tables, standing behind their chairs like their lives depended on it. One last kid remained to sit down. A kid in a wheelchair.
"Yikes. You get a pass."Beatriz set the megaphone down. I noticed the Counselor chair for the Mammon cabin was empty as the campers sat down. "Well. Good afternoon, campers."Jade said. Mumurs surronded me.
"Yes. The boy on my right is Lieutenant General Atticus Castello. Back from the dead. In the flesh. Whatever you call it. Lucifer has brought him back... because a war is upon us."Jade explained, I heard a few gasps, a few mumurs.
"The war in unpreventable. We need to prepare for any sudden attack."Beatriz suddenly put on a stern face. "Your higher-ups won't be here. We have... a quest. Brought to us by our newest Oracle."
Erik looked up from his plate of food, standing up with a groan. "Erik Athene, rank Corporal."He mumbled.
A hush waved across the crowd. "I would like everyone to prepare for war. Eat quickly. Arm yourselves, continue your guard-tower shifts. Be on the lookout... I have a feeling a lot of un-preventable blood will be shed in the coming week."Jade seemed calm, but fierce. I noticed Edie, going around the tables, talking to people and making friends.
