The elevator doors opened, we all stumbled out, the guy at the counter smirked.

"Welcome back. How did it go?"He asked in his demon-like voice. We all looked over at him. The man glanced over at Edith, and then let out a whimper.

"Oh... oh no... Poor child..."The man held out his hands, Atticus placed the body in them. "I am not an emotional man. I don't usually get between the quarrels of the angels and demons, I, myself, am a demon. I'm Sallos. I've only been punished to run this shop... but I've never distrusted the angels. Until now."The demon gave the wrapped body back to Atticus, and then placed a hand over his heart.

"I'm going to teleport you back to camp out of the kindness of my heart. You are welcome."Sallos walked out from the stand and whistled, a giant, chubby alligator began parading in, he scratched its chin.

"One... second, I need to feed him..."Sallos made a raw fish out of thin air and fed the alligator. He then cleared his throat.

"It's a crocodile; not an alligator. Common mistake."Sallos said to me, my ears reddended, and then he drew a circle around all of us with blood on his finger, which seemingly appeared out of nowhere.

I blinked, and I was at Camp Lucifer, in the middle of the war council, followed by Valentina, Erik, Atticus, Ellisse, and Ezra. (also Edith's body. Demons, that's a lot of E's.)
"Afternoon."I said, Dylan's eyes widened.

"What's that..?"Storm asked, pointing to the body wrapped in it's own angel wings. Atticus took a long, shaky breath, "Edith. It's Edith."
The entire room went silent, the color draining from their faces. Ezra and Ellisse were both unconcious.

"Well?! Chop chop! I don't pay you to stand around, where are the nurses?!"I yelled. I heard someone mumur, "You don't pay us." but two nurses came out of the crowd and carried the unconcious bodies. While the rest of us headed to the infirmary on our own.

We were all given an approprite amount of Hellfire, and our wounds were treated, but I still felt empty. Like a big part of me had vanished... was it... oh no... my distain for all angels? Edith was an angel... and she was a good kid, a good person! No! Angels were bad... creatures! But Edith was an angel! UGHHH!

As we held the funeral for Edith, everyone paid there respects, and I sat down with Beatriz and Atticus at a picnic table.
"I, uh.... Im really gonna miss her."Atticus mumbled.
"Me too..."Beatriz looked down.

"Hey, it's- it's gonna be alright, she wouldn't want us to be sad."I said.

I glanced at Atticus's sword, it seemed to be steaming at the end.
"Is that still hot from the lava?"Beatriz wondered like she took the thought from my mind.

"Yeah, I think it's from Hell... it's not gonna be cold anytime soon. But it fights good!"Atticus swung the sword around, I could feel the heat it was radiating from across the table.

"Are we gonna skip over the fact that Edie was an angel?"Beatriz suddenly asked.

We all stayed silent for a count of fifteen... sixteen...seventeen...eighteen...nineteen...twenty...
"No."Atticus said, "We- we're not. She was an angel, but a good one. Not some stupid, evil creature! She was a normal kid, living a normal life, but she was brought to the wrong crowd, and that was a good thing."Atticus monologued.

"We really let ourselves go, huh?"I asked.
"Yeah. We did."Beatriz muttered.

"If I hadn't been stabbed in the heart...Edie wouldn't be dead..."I mumbled.

"Don't say that again! This wasn't about you, Jade, this was just some stupid incident where a kid was too nice in a bad, bad world!"Atticus snapped.

Suddenly, Erik walked over to our table, "I hate to not see her here with us..."He muttered.

"Where's, uh- Valentina?"Atticus asked.
"Tending to kids's wounds, I guess somehow cherubs got in here while we were gone...or someone let them in."Erik said, sending a chill down my spine. Who wasn't trusted? Could it be the same person who poisoned me..? That felt like so long ago... Edie had healed me...

"Another spy."I uttered.
"What?"Beatriz asked.

"Think about it! The angels know about our weak points, they weakened me, the most powerful leader, and now the cherubs, too! Someone inside the camp is against us!"I thought aloud.

"But... who?"Erik wondered.

"I...don't know."I admitted. "Look, I'm sure it's fine. We should just... enjoy the scenerey while we're here... hey, you guys wanna tell Loona that Ezra's back, oh the look on her face is gonna be so sweet!"Erik smiled.

Atticus and Beatriz looked at me.

"Why not?"I sighed.

"C'mon, then!"Erik ran off, we all followed.

He took us to the Sloth Cabin, which made my body feel 5x heavier just by looking at it. "Looonaaa!"Erik called out, and she came out of the door, rubbing her eyes.
"What?"She yawned, walking over to us. I hadn't seen her much in awhile, she only had one eye, now, the other was a prosthetic one we had made just for her.

"Ezra's back."Erik smiled.

"Wait, REALLY?! Oh no...did I miss something?"Loona looked around at the funeral being wrapped up.
"Ohhh, nothing much."Beatriz assured her,"Just a funeral."

"Oh, sorry for your loss."Loona looked down for a moment.

"Can I see Ezra..?"She finally asked.

"Yeah!"Erik smiled.

I guessed we were going to see Ezra and Ellisse now. So, we all walked to the infirmary. Why couldn't I make simple friends like Erik? He had so many of them... as well as a girlfriend... why couldn't I do that?! Why was I attracted to Atticus as well as Beatriz?! UGHHH!

We entered the infirmary, a nurse instantly shushed us, Valentina walked over, took off her gloves, and wrapped her arms around Erik's waist.
"I'm working. Why're you visiting again? Wait... haven't we had the conversation before?"She smirked.

"I'm, uh- We're Actually here to visit Ezra and Ellisse..."Erik sheepishly said, blush creeping up his face. Tch. Pathetic, Beatriz didn't make me feel all giddy and happy inside, she didn't make me feel nice about myself and... and... Okay, she did.

"Ah, be careful, they're at the end of the room."Valentina pointed, and got back to working. We all walked over to the two beds. The siblings were asleep, and I could still see dirt and cuts on their skin, still, they managed to hold hands. Ezra had a cast on his left leg, Ellisse had a sling on her right arm...

"Why aren't these kids healed up?!"I yelled.

"WE, UH- NEED A NEW SHIPMENT OF HELLFIRE!"A nurse called over.

Oh my. Could it be..? We were out of Hell-fire?! But the upcoming battle... we had so much stocked up, and there hadn't been so many injuries since we left, right..? Who could've taken it all..? Someone...Someone like...

Allyssa, a daughter of Mammon rushed in, "Oh, Ezra!"She pushed Atticus out of the way to get to him. "He's okay! Who saved him?!"Allyssa asked.

Erik raised his hand.
"Oh,thank you!"Allyssa put out her hand to shake his, I instantly felt my danger reflex kick in as Erik stretched his hand out.

"STOP!"I yelled, they both stopped. I grabbed Allyssa's hand, a small needle was attached to it,coated with a liquid. Some sort of poison...

All of the puzzle pieces clicked in my brain.

"YOU'RE THE SPY! YOU POISONED ME, YOU LET OUT THE CHERUBS, YOU TOLD THE ANGELS ABOUT US, YOU EMPTIED THE STOCK OF HELLFIRE!"I yelled in her face.

"Good job."She grinned, taking out a remote from her back pocket and pushing a red button.

I heard an explosion from outside, and then screaming. Oh... my... demons.
