I was dying.

Not the best way to start this but... I was. My entire body was crumpled on the ground, I could feel my breaths becomming shallow. How long had I been here? My face was bleeding. My body was bleeding. I felt like I was burning. I needed water. But... I had nothing to drink. I wanted to sleep... I wanted to find Ellisse. I wanted to go home. I wanted... dad.

That sounded horrible to say. And it was. I wished dad would come and save me and Ellisse. I wished... I wished everything was back to normal.

"Hungryyyy?"The angel grinned, sliding a plate of food into my cell. Now... when I say "food" I don't mean food. It was some stupid... slop. I hadn't eaten in days, and it was starting to look appetizing. Oh no.

"N- N-No."My voice shook, I could barely form words.

"Hey, why won't your sister do a stupid magic trick? WE KNOW the power she has!"The angel shook the bars. "You- You're... horrible... per-person."I winced, trying to choke them with their necklace... but... it didn't work. My powers were useless up here. "Silly demon. I have all the power here."The angel clicked her tongue, "You're a pawn, I'm the queen."

She opened the cage, I stumbled out, falling on my face. "This is something I remember."She grinned sadistcally. Next thing I remembered... she was slamming my face into the cold, stone ground while I yelled in pain. My nose was probably broken. I might've lost a tooth. This girl was sadistic and ruthless, and she just happened to be my main guard. At least the other angels left me alone.

"TELL. ME. HOW. TO. GET. INTO. YOUR. CAMP!"The angel yelled.

"I. DD-DON'T KNOW!"I screamed, I felt myself sinking into delirium. A feeling I didn't like. And then... Delirium actually showed up, in the flesh. Well... only in my eyes.

"Who're you?"I asked with a small giggle, her presence made me feel elated.

"Who are you talking to?!"The angel asked.

"Girl."I muttered. Delirium was kinda short and thin, in an outfit that kept changing colors and style, so did her hair. It was bright. She seemed like a teenage girl. One of her eyes was green, the other was blue. "Hello. Young one. The angel cannot see me. But I am here."She sat criss-cross-apple-sauced.

"You.. are?"I managed. "YOU'RE IRRITATING ME, DEMON-BOY!"The angel hissed, but I continued to set my gaze on Delirium.

"Why, of course I am. Hey, do you like icecream? I Love it!"She grinned, poking my nose.

"Ice.. cream?"I smiled back. "Ohh, you're dying. Really dying! Isn't that funny?!"Delirium howled with laughter, I did the same, gurgling blood. "Maybe not.. Death isn't here yet, good sign. Oh! I love Death! She's, like, my sister!"Delirium continued conversation, I felt like the angel was still yelling and kicking at me, but Delirium made me focused on a bajillion other things but the angel. The more Delirium rambled the more I forgot who I was. Who I was looking for. What my life was like. I was like a grain of sand floating in the wind. Which made me feel like a piece of sand, "WEEEEEEEEEEE!"I giggled.

"You know those cat posters that say stuff like "Hang in there, baby"? That is my advice to you. Hang in there, baby!"Delirium had told me.

"Are... staying?"I wondered.

"Yeah! I are staying!"The being of pure power ruffled my hair. "Yay."I muttered, though... I drifited into unconciousness.

I saw my friends. Erik, Valentina, Beatriz. I also saw Jade. And some little girl. And some really short dude with a dirt-mustache. They were walking around New York, talking about me.

"The cage was hung over fire, right?"Valentina asked, Beatriz nodded. "Poor Ez-Ezzie."The little girl mumbled.

"Poor Ezra indeed."Jade said with a long sigh. Aw. They really did care. "He's barely gripping on. We should hurry."Beatriz muttered.

The dream shifted.

I was in a strange world with weird shapes and flashing colors. It hurt my eyes, it hurt my ears, but it felt good. "Welcome to Delirium! I'm your host, Delirium! Not really."Delirium smiled at me, I looked up at her, instantly feeling a wave of happines and confusion hit me. I tilted my head.

"I feel like air."

"Hmmm. Yup! Air."She replied.

When I stood up, my feet felt all tingly like TV-static, so did my brain. I was pretty sure I fell again. "Who'm I?"I wondered.

"I forget! I'm not very good at remembering. But that's okay."Delirium grinned. Okay... Yeah... it was Okay. I would just let my memories sink away until I was a blank sheet of paper. Hmmm... but only the colorful paper! Like pink or gold. NO! The sane part of me protested.

Me...? Who was I? Why was I here? Why was everything colorful? Why... Why was I suddenly so tired?

I woke up in a cold sweat, badly beaten, and slightly remembering who I was.

"EZRA!"I yelled at the top of my lungs. "Good job!"Delirium clapped, she was playing solitare with go-fish cars and rainbow poker chips, exciting! "How long are you... gonna be 'ere?"I wondered, my voice was hoarse.

"Until you are saved. It's sorta my job to lead you away from Death. They have big plans for you."Delirium grinned. I did not feel like grinning. The giggly insanity of pain had disapearred. Everything hurt now. My nose probably looked like a smashed papaya. My arms and legs were bruised. I was possibly dying.

When was I gonna get out of here..? When would I see Ellisse? Who was they..? And when would Delirium stop poking my face?
