Chapter 5

Let me love you

After a few weeks Diego was with his dad hunting together. For Diego it was difficult because he is still a cub. He doesn't have the strength or body to hunt. His body is still in process his bones get stronger.

Diego failed every hunt but he knew he still weak. His father encouraged him that he'll get stronger because he is still growing.

What Diego's father surprised him, that his son's senses has gotten stronger. Normally he couldn't sniff from twenty meters, now he can sniff from hundred meters. His awareness was more active.

Diego's father spoke, "You'll be a great hunter Diego. I'm surprised your senses has gotten stronger."

Diego nodded at his father. They both continued hunting for couple of hours. His father started to give advice about hunting.

Diego's father spoke, "When I was your age. I didn't hunt until my teens. At first it was disappointing thinking I would become a failure. Then your mother cheered me on. I did it for her and became a successful hunter. I know how you feel but I had strength to hunt."

Diego smile at his father and asked, "So how you meet mom?"

Diego's father smiled at his son spoke with pride, "Your mother was the most beautiful saber I ever met. To be honest I was lucky to have her. She was the center of attention. Many males tried win her heart but they failed. Your mother and I met during our first hunting session.

Every teen male sabers are trained to be a hunter for their first time. Which I was part of it. Many sabers were shaking nervously. It our first time we all hunting together also I met other sabers that I never seen before.

Some had pride because they are had some experience with their parents. Others were scared of the dangers. Others were eager to impress the females.

As for me I nervous about my first hunting. So I looked at ground to calm myself. Your mother approached me and said that I will do well. Many sabers looked at me with envy.

At first it was a mess very few of us were able to catch a prey. That impressed the females. Your mother was different she still cheered me on. Before I knew it she liked me."

Diego looked at his father and stopped near a small stream of water. Which they started drinking.

After easing their thirst Diego's father spoke with seriousness, "Son you must be ready to fight. Other male sabers will challenge you for Shira. I seen a saber challenge another saber for a girl. The saber was muscular and tough as other was average. Sometimes it can messy. He almost ended up dead the female accepted the male to save his life. As the average saber was heartbroken and bloody body.

I felt bad for him thinking it can happen the same with me. As far I know the average saber had another female and have cubs. They are bit older than you.

After some time I was challenged also but a tough saber he was an adult as I was in my late teens. At first it was unfair because I was younger. Many sabers were waiting the fight to started.

I remembered he said he fantasized about being with your mother. I had no choice but fight if not I would consider a coward. It very difficult to win.

Both of us were bleeding badly. I wouldn't give up for your mother. Eventually I won by my stamina and will. I almost up killing him because I was enraged by he will do things with your mother. Though I won I didn't stop attacking. The sabers knew if it continued he would be killed. So they jumped on me to stop.

It took five sabers to stop me. Still enraged I said that I will kill that basterd. They pinned me to ground but mother came at me not wanting to see more violence. She hugged my wounded body. She cried for me to stop. Which I calmed down and went back to my senses. I was horrified to see the saber was already barely alive. Since then no saber challenged me for your mother.

Is better to be prepared son. For the better or the worst. Now how your relationship with your mate."

Diego with childish mind spoke, "Good Shira would kiss me for every thirty minutes. She says she loves me. She says I'm manly but I don't know what it means. Shira would massage me with her paws which it feels nice. She does it every night before we sleep. At breakfast and lunch Shira won't sit down which I raise my voice and I force her to sit down. Shira would started to turn red."

Diego's father started to smile at his son. Diego's father started patting at his son's back. Diego knew his father was proud of him.

Diego's father spoke, "Okay enough chit chat let started practicing fighting."

Diego wanted to whine but he knew he must be ready. They were sparing for while until Diego gave up in defeat.

Diego's father spoke, "You body is getting stiffened. At first you cried in pain which I felt bad for you. Your body couldn't handle the blows though going easy on you. Your mother almost killed me. Which I had to sleep outside in the cold. How did Shira handle it?"

Diego responded, "Shira was licking the scratches which made me feel better. She says that she still love me though I'm defeated."

Diego's father smiled at his son and spoke, "Alrighty we must catch a prey before dark. Sniff out then I chase it."

They both went out hunting a prey which they returned back home. Shira was waiting for Diego. Then Shira saw Diego which she ran at him and kissed passionately.

Diego's mother was missing that her little cub started to grow up quickly. That he losing his innocence.

They all started to eat dinner and Shira stayed close to Diego rubbing her body against his.

When night came Diego and Shira went to their sleeping spot. Diego lie down on his back as Shira laid on top of him.

Diego spoke, "Hey Shira. I won't lose to others if I get challenged. I.... care for you."

Shira blushed by his words and spoke, "I will still love you."

Then Diego pulled Shira for a passionate kiss which surprised her because his first time to do. Which Shira accepted and kissed back.

Diego broke the kiss and spoke, "Don't expect me to do it again." As he blushed.

Shira purred and hugged Diego happily. Then eventually both of them fell asleep.
