After Diego was an adult his emotions were everywhere. When Diego is around Shira he felt nervous. Diego would curse himself for being a wimp. 

"Come on Diego. You been with Shira for years," Diego said to himself.

Diego wanted to be with Shira forever. Diego's father saw his son's behavior. He decided to talk with him. 

Diego's father spoke to his son, "Hey son something wrong?"

Diego looked at his father and responded, "I can't explain it. Every time I'm with Shira I get nervous but Shira and I been together for years."

Diego's smiled at his son and patted on his shoulder and asked, "Can you hunt?"

Diego looked at his father confused and responded, "Yeah I can. Why dad?"

"Okay. In what way Shira makes you nervous?" Diego's father asked.

Diego responded to his father's question, "Every time we are leaning against each other. She would usually tease at me."

Diego's father spoke, "I see I guess is your instincts is you telling you to claim her. Is not strong yet but when the time come you'll understand. How about you ask her in marriage?"

"Aren't we mates already?" Diego asked.

Diego father responded, "Well technically yeah. Have you thought asking her. I mean all the sabers do it." 

Diego was there thinking for a while and spoke, "I need time to think about."

Diego started to walk off in the woods thinking if he would ask Shira in marriage. As Shira was with Diego's mother chatting.

Diego's mother spoke, "What do you think about my son?"

Shira responded, "Well Diego is caring to me. Now he act a bit different it was the first dating together."

Diego's mother smiled and spoke, " I think you should talk about it with Diego there might be a reason why."

Shira nodded at Diego's mother suggestion. Shira walk off to find Diego to get some answers. After a couple of minutes of searching Shira found Diego motionless looking in the sky. Then Shira grinned to tease him. Shira then came in front of Diego and slightly hit her hips on Diego's face. 

Diego came back to reality and began to look around. Then saw Shira in front of him giggling. 

Diego spoke, "Oh hey Shira I didn't notice you were here."

Shira smiled at Diego and spoke, "You were lost in thought. There is something I wanted to ask you."

"Oh What is it?" Diego asked.

Shira responded, "Diego you acting different around me. I want to know why."

Diego spoke, "To be honest I'm all nervous when I'm around you."

"There is not nothing to be nervous about. We been together for years." Shira spoke.

Diego spoke again, "I know Shira. You are the best saber to be in my life. There is something I wanted to do but you might not be surprised."

Shira smiled with curiosity and spoke, "I want to know Diego. It might surprise me please tell me."

Diego looked at Shira's eyes nervously then he put his head against Shira's. Shira was now blushing by his movements.

Diego took a deep breath and looked at Shira and began to speak, "Shira you been my mate for years. Though you said it out of the blue. I was embarrassed by your affections in the beginning. I was stunned by you beauty before I knew it I already fallen for you."

Shira spoke, "Aw Diego." As she felt her heart pounding fast.

Diego continue to speak, "Shira do you want? To be my mate for the rest of our lives until death set us apart?" 

Shira was shocked to hear Diego's proposal and Shira smiled in tears and responded, "Yes! I want to become your mate."

Shira never knew deep in her heart wanted to hear Diego's proposal. Then Diego pulled Shira for passionate kiss. Shira kissed him back happy to become Diego's mate. Shira can't wait to tell Diego's parents that she got proposed. Also that Diego's father would jump around in joy.
