Chapter 19

Savage love

After a few months Shira's stomach has gotten larger. Shira was was glad to have her cub to be born. Diego's mother  came to Shira to help her during birth.

Diego decided to stay with his father feeling nervous. His father would tell him everything is okay.

Diego spoke, "I don't know how to raise a cub?"

Diego's father spoke, "Well you learn don't worry. Once teaching your cub it becomes natural to teach. I was also nervous when I had you."

Diego waited for days to pass wondering when Shira's cub birth. At the moment Diego was feeling more anxious than ever. Diego would walk back and forth trying to calm himself.

Diego's father could only watch his son walking. Diego's father couldn't but chuckled at his son being nervous. He remembered the day when Diego was born.

Diego can only do is wait. Diego waited and waited. Until one night Diego's mother returned. Diego immediately started to question his mother.

Diego asked, "So?"

Diego's mother responded, "Well you have daughter."

Diego speed off running back home to see his cub. Never in his life ran so fast to see someone. It only took two minutes to reach back home.

Diego entered the cave quietly seeing Shira was being protective. Diego saw Shira curled into a ball and Diego approached her.

Diego spoke, "Shira."

Shira raise her head and saw Diego looking at her. Shira knew that Diego wanted to see his daughter.

Shira spoke, "Ready to meet your daughter?"

Diego simply nod eager to see his daughter. Shira uncurled herself show a ball of fur with white stripes on her back but the rest orange color. Her eyes were blue like a ocean.

Diego couldn't help but smile at his daughter. Diego gently lick his daughter showing affection. Shira was seeing his soft side towards his daughter. Shira saw how Diego was careful with his daughter.

His daughter knew who was licking her. It was her daddy saying hello. The cub couldn't help but purr. Shira awed to see how cute her daughter was.

Diego lay down next to Shira happy to his cub alive and healthy. Shira giggled to see Diego relaxed after days of anxiety.

Shira asked her mate, "What should we name here."

Diego started to think for a while and responded, "What about Natalie?"

Shira smiled and responded, "Natalie sound cute."

Shira looks at her cub with softness in her eyes. Shira began to lick her cub happy her daughter to have a name.

The cub was purring not knowing how her life would be. There will be many surprises for her.
