Chapter 6

Falling

Diego was walking alone to meet up with his friends. Shira didn't came because his mother wanted to talk to her.

Diego saw his friends talking several males gave him glare looks at him. Diego was unfazed and confused.

Diego spoke, "Hey guys. What's up?"

His friends responded, "Man you don't really see us. Is that because of mate of yours."

Diego spoke calmly, "At least I have time with you."

Then a another pack of cubs came at them.

A leader from the spoke, "Hey weaklings. Have seen the girl white saber?" With a grin on his face.

Diego responded, "She is not here."

The leader spoke with intimidation, "Tell her come here." Trying to put fear. Which it worked on Diego's group.

Diego was unfazed by his tone.

Diego spoke, "She busy."

The leader went front of Diego to show dominance.

The leader spoke, "I'm not asking. I'm telling you what to do."

Diego kept his face straight looking at the leader's eyes. Diego face was serious he won't follow someone's orders.

The leader spoke, "I don't who you are. I'm wanting to fight her mate and have her as mine."

Diego spoke coldly, "Your looking at him."

The leader was shocked to see him face to face.

Diego spoke coldly, "Do you want to find out? I'll gladly show you."

Both groups began to see the coldness of Diego. Waiting for the showdown. The leader steps down in bit of fear.

Many were shocked Diego won by intimidation. Diego was nervous by confronting him. But his training was able to help him.

The leader spoke, "Once the time come I'll fight you."

Many other sabers were watched in awed how Diego would fight for Shira though young.

Diego sighed and looked at his friends. His friends were shocked to see his determination and will.

Then Diego walk off to his home feeling chills on his spine. Diego hurriedly went back home.

As he was returning back home. He heard familiar cry that sounded like Shira. Diego panicked went to the sound came from.

He noticed Shira was at the bottom of the hill crying. Diego noticed the leader was talking to her ears.

Diego saw Shira in cuts like being forced to fight. That enraged Diego, he quickly went down jumped on the leader.

The leader was shocked to see Diego. Diego was is now wanting to kill for the first time.

Diego spoke angrily, "What are you thinking?!"

The leader was smiling and spoke, "Nothing. Right?" As he looked at Shira.

Shira would continue to cry more. Diego was hurt to see her in that state.

Diego spoke, "You'll pay for this!'

Diego tackled the leader and began claw the leader. Diego was slashing the leader several times. Then Diego grabbed it's throat and began to bite.

Shira saw the fight in front of her eyes. She saw the leader bleeding badly and he was fighting for his life not wanting to die. Diego didn't pay attention to the situation.

The leader try to let go of Diego's grasp The leader tried to scream but he was losing strength to speak. He can feel blood streaming on his body.

The leader spoke, "Pl....ase."

Then Shira started to crawl towards Diego. Then Shira finally hugged Diego's legs.

Diego felt his senses returning back and dropped the leader to the ground. Diego saw Shira crying.

Shira spoke crying, "Don't kill him. Please."

Diego saw what he was about to do. Diego was took by his instincts. Diego couldn't believe he was about to kill someone so young.

Diego began to comfort Shira. Diego left the leader on its own. The leader is now traumatized by how close he was to death.

Diego carried Shira to his sleeping place. Diego began lick Shira's scratches. Luckily she wasn't bleeding.

Shira began purr in tears feeling the comfort. Diego is now changed the way he viewed Shira. Diego now see Shira like a glass that can easily break.

Shira is now hugging Diego for comfort. Diego started to give her affection trying make her forget form events.

Diego didn't left Shira until she recovered mentally. His instincts were telling him to comfort her.

Then Shira's bite Diego's neck. Diego was shocked. It was a gentle bite making him feel different. Diego's body relaxed then Shira stopped biting. Leaving small blood drops on his neck.

Shira spoke, "I just gave you hickey."

Diego smiled at Shira and kissed her. Shira accepted his kiss.

The next day Diego and Shira were walking together. Some sabers were talking about Diego.

They noticed Diego have a hickey. Which Diego made nervous. Diego noticed the leader was staying distance from him. Which others looked at him concerned.

Shira rubs her body against his. Diego can't help but feel pride.
