It had been a couple of days since Joe Mason and is people had joined the Phoenixes and it was now the last day of Summer. The Phoenix convoy was now made up of three R.Vs and a civilian bus. The bus housed all of Joe's people and a lot of tents and sleeping bags. As well as important supplies such as food, water and medical supplies. Eleonor Hatcher was the doctor of the Phoenixes, but Anna had to do much of the medical assistance. Eleonor may have been a pregnancy specialist and midwife, but her knowledge outside of said areas was limited and she could only do so much. Anna had been taught some first aid by her Mother, who was the nurse at the school she went to as a little girl. Many of the teachers thought it was nice that Anna went to the same school her mother worked at and it caused the two of them to develop a strong bond. Anna had been heartbroken when her mother died and had felt all alone after Ivan died of cancer. She was of course grateful that Bridge and her new friends had been there for her.

Phinehas had of course tried to access the microchip, but failed. Mainly because the files on the microchip, or "M.C" as Bridge had suggested calling it, were heavily encrypted and could not be viewed on any old computer. Luckily Joe had used his coding skills to remove the encryption and had transferred all of the files he could onto the hard drive. Sebastian had tried to help Phinehas access the files, He had suggested that maybe the passwords were based around important dates in the Unity Order's history. Such as when they were founded and when they orchestrated the assassination of John F Kennedy. The latter of which had been easy to figure out, mainly because it was the date of the assassination in the form of numbers. The file regarding the exact location of the facility where the Antivirus was being held was a difficulty however. All they knew from the file that Ivan had stumbled upon so long ago was that the Antivirus was in a W.H.O facility, somewhere in San Francisco. But the exact facility was redacted from the file. Phinehas knew that the file that explained everything, down to the smallest detail even, had to have the location of the Antivirus written down inside.

The Phoenixes were now headed through the State of Missouri across Route 66. A network of highways going from Chicago to Los Angeles. It had been suggested by Ivan to some of the original members of the Phoenixes when he died, so that they could get to California quicker. Bridge predicted that it would take them at least a day or two for them to arrive. They were now headed through a very long highway in Missouri and Around them were many trees, bushes and huge fields. Bridge had of course relocated with Anna and Phinehas to the bus, which had been designated "Phoenix Home" because of it's size and importance to transport cargo and a large number of people. Bridge was sitting at the front with Anna and Phinehas. Joe Mason was driving the bus and they were driving at 85 miles per hour. Bridge dearly wished that they could load the "super fuel" Phinehas had found in an old Shell building into the R.Vs and the bus. But Bridge had decided to use it only for emergencies, as it had saved his life, as well as the lives of Phinehas, Anna, Michelle and Michelle's as of yet unborn twins when the Lincoln tunnel flooded that day in New York. There was only enough for one use for each vehicle, maybe two. So they had to use it only in emergencies.

Bridge was talking with Anna and Phinehas about the route they would be taking to California. They had decided to get to Los Angeles and then head up north to San Francisco across Interstate 5, the fastest route between the two. Bridge was looking at the maps that had been placed onto the backs of the chairs in front of them and said "Looks like if we keep going across this route for the next few hours, we should reach Oklahoma City in about five hours". Anna sighed and said "I wish we could reach San Francisco in that time and end this God forsaken pandemic". Bridge jokingly said "We could take a plane. Why don't I book a flight?" Phinehas burst out laughing at the joke and said "If there still were flights, we could get there in no time". Joe heard what they were talking about and said "Too bad none of us know how to fly a plane. Looks like we'll have to make do".
