Chapter Twenty Seven: The Secret of Area 51

It had been a few hours since Area 51 had been taken over by the Phoenixes and They were searching the base for anything that would give Them answers about the Unity Order. According to some of the people who had been enslaved in Area 51 to test Them to be "Worthy", the soldiers sometimes took a few people into the hanger bay and Those people never returned. Bridge saw it as a classic horror movie mystery and sought to find answers. The main hanger bay was mostly deserted and had almost nothing inside. There was no plane nor any equipment and there was no sign that anyone had been inside. Bridge looked around the hanger bay with confusion in His eyes and said "This doesn't make any sense, why isn't there anything in this old hanger?" Sebastian, Phinehas, Anna and Solomon were all just as confused. There was nothing inside except for an old vending machine in the corner of the hanger that had no food nor drink inside. They gathered around it and Bridge said "Why is this old vending machine all there is in this barren old hanger?" Solomon then noticed that there were some scrapes on the floor that went in a right handed curve and said "It's some kind of door". Bridge noticed the curves as well and said "Of course! It's one of those secret entrances! Like in Kingsman: the Race Against Time! Ya know? Where They go back in time to stop a Nazi terrorist cell from causing Hitler to win World War Two and it turns out Hitler has a secret entrance in His bedroom?" 

Anna remembered watching Kingsman: the Race Against Time in the final year before the Fall began, it was the final film in the Kingsman Film Series and was very well received. Anna thought back to the scene where Eggsy and Harry found a secret entrance in Hitler's bookshelf when they pulled on one of the books that activated a few gears behind it and caused the bookshelf to open up, revealing the stairs to Hitler's secret research laboratory. Anna carefully examined the vending machine with Her eyes and noticed the numbered buttons that a person would have to push in a specific combination to get what They wanted from it. Anna looked at Bridge and asked "When did that Alien spaceship crash on Earth in all of those conspiracy theories?" Bridge thought for a moment and said "I think it was sometime in the 1940s and after World War Two. So try 1947". Anna typed in 1947 and the vending machine suddenly flew open, revealing a secret door behind it. The door was made of iron steel and had no handle to open it. Solomon then saw a hand scanner next to it and said "Looks like We're gonna need a hand of someone to activate it". Bridge then got out His walkie talkie and said through it "Joe, this is Bridge. We need Adler in here immediately. We found a secret entrance and only a certain hand scan will open it up". Joe then answered through the walkie talkie "On it, We'll bring this criminal over right away". 

Five minutes later, Joe and two Phoenixes walked in with Adler restrained with some handcuffs that had been found in the base. Adler was marched over to the door and Bridge said "You are going to place your hand on that scanner and get us inside of whatever is down there". Adler laughed and said "Even if I do that, You'll never get past the security down there". Bridge looked at Adler with a suspicious look on His face and asked "What security?" Adler grinned and said "You'll find out soon enough". 

Solomon and Joe then forced His hand onto the scanner and the door suddenly flew open. An elevator was inside of it and it was still being powered by the huge generator outside. The Phoenixes and Their prisoner entered the elevator and Bridge noticed a two buttons. The upper one said "Ground level" and the lower one said "Lower levels". Bridge pressed the lower button and the elevator began to descend. About ten seconds later, the elevator arrived at the lower levels and the doors opened to reveal a dark room. Although it was too dark to see anything, Bridge could tell that there had to be something inside. Bridge, Anna and Phinehas all exited the elevator, staying right outside the entrance to be on the safe side and looked around for a light switch. Anna then found a fuse box on the wall next to the elevator, barely illuminated by the elevator's light and said "Looks like We have our light switch". Phinehas came over and pulled the large red handle on it down to activate the lights. Lights up above on the ceiling then came on almost instantly and the light was so bright, it blinded the Phoenixes and Their prisoner for a few moments. After Their sight cleared They could all see what was in the room. The room was three times the size of a football field and had all sorts of equipment throughout it. There was construction equipment, devices that would scan objects for whatever they were made out of, headlamps that were the size of five people stacked on top of each other and what all of those headlamps were facing at the centre of the circle they were put in: an actual Flying Saucer.
