No one POV
"I swear to God, Sonny. If something happened to her..."
"Hey, look at me. Nothing will happen to her. It's normal for teenagers to get back late" Sonny tried to reassure Harper who was freaking out over their daughter.
"But it's almost 3 am!"
Sonny stopped Harper's pacing by hugging him.
"Sarah can protect herself, she's fine"
Harper listened to Sonny's heartbeat to calm down.
"But I'll wait here till she's home" Harper stubbornly stated and that's what he did.
An hour later, Sarah walked through the front door giggling but when she saw her dad's serious face, she stopped laughing.
"Where have you been? Are you drunk? Hurt?"
Harper rushed to her to check if she was ok.
"Dad, I'm fine" Sarah pushed him away.
"Where have you been?"
"Out" she dryly replied.
"Sarah..."
Whenever Harper called her by her full name, it meant that it was serious.
"I was just around with friends"
"Sarah, don't you dare lie to me" Harper raised his voice and used his beta eyes.
"Harvey!" Sarah confessed against her will.
At the name, Harper froze.
"What is going on?"
Sonny walked into the lobby, still half asleep.
Harper was so shocked that his legs gave up but Sonny caught him.
"Hey, hey...baby...hey!"
Harper was struggling to keep his eyes open, they kept flickering.
"Sarah, what happened?"
"I don't know, I-I..." Sarah was almost crying.
"Harper...baby wake up"
Sonny kept slapping his cheek till the boy woke up.
"Oh god"
Sonny held him close to his chest.
"Dad, I'm sorry...I-" Sarah didn't know what to say at this point.
"Love, go to bed. I'll handle this"
Sonny kissed his daughter's head.
"Baby, what happened?" Sonny asked once she was gone.
"Cantwell..."
The alpha arched a brow.
"S-she was with...him"
"Fuck" Sonny quietly mumbled.

The next morning, Harper acted like nothing happened and everyone was confused.
"My love, how are you doing?" Sonny asked kissing his cheek.
"A bit tired but ok. You?"
It truly was like nothing ever happened and it was worrying Sonny.
"No, I can't. He's fine for now, it was just a scare but I can't...Harvey, I have to stay with him" Sarah ended the call frustrated.
At the name, Harper froze again.
"Baby..."
Sonny rubbed his back.
"I'm ok"
"You ok?" This time the alpha asked Sarah.
"How is dad truly doing?" She asked low while Harper was busy with marmalade and bread.
"He's been better"
"I know you're talking about me..." Harper chimed in.
"I'm not a child, speak up"
"Ok...then tonight I'll go out with him"
"No" Harper replied while spreading the marmalade.
"You won't hang out with him anymore"
"Harper..." Sonny tried to intervene.
"No, Sonny. She doesn't know what she's doing, he's not good for her-"
"We have what you and daddy have" Sarah cut him off.
And Harper's nightmare became reality.
After a moment of silence, he added an 'I don't care' and went to have breakfast on the porch.
"Daddy please you have to understand..." Sarah begged.
"You never have secrets with us...is it true?"
Sonny was well aware that the imprinting was a serious thing and not a choice.
"You have to understand me...you know better than dad what it means...it just happened..."
And Sonny knew Sarah was being honest.
"I'll talk to dad but for the love of God, be careful. You don't know what he's capable of and what he did"
Sarah hugged him.

"I remember when Sarah always went on that swing..." Harper said with a nostalgic tone.
Sonny crouched down in front of him and held both of his hands.
"I let Sarah go" he simply said.
"What?!"
"It's not fair to lock her up in here babe"
"I've been locked up in here and I'm fine!" Harper snapped.
"It was different"
"No, I'm doing it for her safety!"
Harper got up quickly, moving Sonny out of the way.
"Where are you going?"
"To find her"
The boy turned into a wolf and went to find Sarah.
Sonny closed his eyes and breathed in, it was useless stopping him.
Harper was overprotective over Sarah more than Sonny and when it was about her, getting in between could only be dangerous.

Harper found Sarah and decided to follow her to see what was gonna happen but when Harvey decided to bring her to his pack's base, he had to intervene.
"Sarah. Let's go home" Harper said sternly but the girl refused.
"I'm not asking, it's an order"
Harper's eyes turned into a bright and intense blue and Sarah couldn't do anything except go home with him.
Harvey looked furious but he couldn't go against Harper.
"I hate you!" Sarah screamed at her father once they were back at the base.
"I'm doing this for you"
"No, you're just an asshole. You don't even know him"
At that Harper lost it.
"He fucking kidnapped me! If it wasn't for your dad, I wouldn't even be here, you wouldn't even be here!"
Harper was scaring Sarah, deadly teeth showing and eyes that could kill with only one look.
"So don't you fucking dare tell me that I don't know him!"
Sarah never saw her dad like that, like a monster.

When Sonny came back home, he found Harper pacing around panicked.
"Hey...everything ok?"
Sonny rushed to him.
When the boy turned around he collapsed into Sonny's arms.
"What's wrong?"
The alpha held him tight.
"She ran away...cause of me" Harper was sobbing, holding on to Sonny's shirt for dear life.
"Sarah?"
The beta nodded.
Sonny rocked him for a while to calm him down.
"Ok so this is the plan...we call Harvey, then look for Sarah together"
The alpha was aware of what he was asking but he had to put their daughter above.
"I don't wanna hear a word...we just look for Sarah" was all Sonny said to Harvey when they met in the woods.
Harvey nodded and followed a path.
"It's my fault, I shouldn't have screamed at her"
"It's not your fault" Sonny reassured and licked his face lovingly.
"Found something?"
"Nothing" Harper said, he was about to panic again.
"I found something" Harvey stated.
"I think other wolves took her. I had some business that didn't go well with them so..."
After hearing that, Harper wanted to attack his neck but Sonny stopped him.
"Bring us there"

Harper went inside the abandoned building to find Sarah while the two alphas dealt with the wolves outside.
"Sarah!"
"Dad!"
Harper rushed to get her, she was tied to a chair, her lip cut open and bruises around her wrists due to the tight rope.
"It's ok baby, I found you"
Sarah cried and when she was free she buried her face in her father's chest.
"It's ok. I got you now...it's ok"
Harper looked at her, tears mixed with the dirt on her face.
"Let's go out before I kill the bastards that did this to you"
As soon as they were outside, Sarah ran to Harvey who was so relieved that she was ok.
"It's my fault, I'm so sorry" he kept saying but Sarah didn't care, she was safe and that was all that mattered.
"Who did this?" Sonny asked, anger visible in his eyes.
"I-I don't know...I sneaked out to go to Harvey's but on the way they got me. Didn't even see them in the face"
Sarah tried to remember but she blacked out.
"It's ok my love...they'll pay eventually cause no one hurts my puppy"
"I'm not a puppy anymore" Sarah blushed.
"I don't care, still a puppy to me" Sonny stated.
"But we have to talk about the sneak-out story and you Mr."
Harper looked at Harvey"
"Oh no..." both Sonny and Sarah said.

I feel like it's been centuries since my last update but whatever ahahah (sorry have a busy life).
This one is not that bad, I guess, so I really hope you guys like it.
