A Not so Wicked Paradise

CHP 10: Teresa

The moment Tom and Newt walked up to my table, I knew they were up to something. I greeted them with a smile.

"Hey Tom. Hi Newt."

"Hey guys," Harriet waved.

"Hi Thomas... Hello Newt..." Sonya trailed off.

I glanced over at Sonya. She was looking pretty queasy. Only Harriet and I knew why.

She had a major crush on Newt.

She didn't want to blow it, so she was trying to be extra careful.

Newt sensed something was up and asked Sonya if she wanted to go to the Medjack shack. She complied. As he turned to say bye to Tom, I saw her smiling at him, warmly. They walked away together. I silently cheered on Sonya in my head. I turned back to Tom and Harriet.

"So what brings you over here Tom?"

"You. Who else?" He replied with a playful grin. I blushed.

Harriet groaned.

"Ugh guys. I get that you're all lovey dovey but get a room."

She always got slightly annoyed when Tom and I teased each other in public. But she said she still shipped us. Whatever that means.

Tom got a serious look in his face.

"Teresa... Can you come with me?"

"Uh.. Sure?"

Tom turned to Harriet.

"Oh and Minho wanted you to meet him. Something about the Ranch I think."

"Why not Sonya?" She asked nervously.

"He said to get whoever was here."

"Right.. Where is he?"

"I think at the cliff."

The cliff? Why would he meet her there- oh. Minho liked Harriet. It was pretty obvious. He always watched her when she wasn't looking.

I think Harriet might like him too. Ever since Minho had confessed his love to her during Truth or Dare, she turned beet red every time she saw him. I grinned.

"Alright Tom, let's go!" I said enthusiastically. I dragged Tom away, waving bye to Harriet.

Once we were out of earshot, I turned to Tom and slapped him on the arm.

"Why didn't you tell me about this plan of yours!"

"Wha-! What plan?" He stuttered.

Rolling my eyes I replied,

"C'mon Tom. You can't keep anything a secret from me." He sighed in defeat.

"Minho didn't want me and Newt to tell anyone... Sorry."

He looked a little sad... And adorable. I couldn't resist giving him a hug. We hugged for a good minute or two until Tom finally pulled away. With a grin, he says,

"C'mon, let's watch what happens."

We made it to the cliff just in time to see Minho pull Harriet close to him. They stared at each other for a good ten seconds before kissing. Starting to feel uncomfortable, I said

"Let's leave them. They'll be fine."

Tom willingly agreed and we both started back to his cabin.

He took hold of my left hand and we both blushed. We walked, talking, only to see Newt and Sonya hugging. Grinning at each other, Tom and I simultaneously whooped and clapped. Our friends pulled away red faced.

"Wow, two new couples in one day!" I exclaimed.

"Yep!" Newt said, pecking Sonya in the cheek. She flushed red before saying,

"So Harriet and Minho finally got together huh? About time."

Tom and I laughed.

"We could say the same about you two shucks!" Tom said.

Laughing, we all walked back to the cliff to see if Minho and Harriet had finished their little session. They had. They were sitting, holding hands, looking out into the ocean when Newt shouted out,

"That's my boy!"

Minho and Harriet turned around, embarrassed and flustered.

Still holding hands.

The 6 of us talked for a while before retiring to our designated cabins. Everything was going to be okay now since we all had each other.

Or so I thought.
