The girl walking beside Topper is his younger sister, Florence. She prefers to be called Flo, though; only her family really calls her by her full name.
Unlike Sarah Cameron, Flo Thornton wasn't exactly her parents' favourite. They always let her go away on expensive trips so that they didn't have to deal with her. Flo didn't mind though, she loved travelling the world, but she always found her way back to Kildare.
She had also been one of Kiara's friends but when the falling out between Kie and Sarah Cameron went down, Flo took Sarah's side. I'm not sure why, probably because her brother liked Sarah Cameron. Flo was a Kook through and through, always wearing expensive jewellery, going to parties, and acting like she was untouchable - because she was, just like the rest of her Kook family. But there was something that set her aside from them; Flo doesn't hate Pogues.
In fact, she outwardly admits that she loves hanging out on the other side of the island. I think that might be another reason why her parents send her away so often. Every time she's gone, I think she might not come back. With how her parents treat her, no one would blame her if she didn't. But most of us know what keeps her coming back.

Florence is not introduced until later on in the story (after chapter 20) but I thought it would be good to have one of these for her also
