He never used to hate his little brother, in fact he had been by his brothers side most of their young lives. But then came that fateful bloody day. Colt had been sent on a very dangerous mission two days before it happened, lucky him or would he say lucky Foxe?

Colt stared at the city lights through the elevators glass tube tears in his eyes, Colt was hardened assassin he hadn't felt regret for killing a target since his first one at 16 what was the difference now?

He hated Foxe for destroying their families, but it seems that he also still loved his little brother. Remember how much they used to play and how steadfast Foxe had been with his morals and wanting to be a hero for people.

"Arrogant little shit,"whispered Colt as he wiped away the tears,"I'm sorry little man I had no choice."

A ding from the elevator indicating that Colt had reached his destination made him jump, he turned to see that he had reached the 50th floor. The door slid open with a very silent psssh and walked out into the lavish miniature hallway, up to the door in front of him and slid a key into it.

"Home sweet home,"said Colt pushing open the door.

Colt's apartment wasn't small by any means it took up the entire floor of this skyscraper, which for an assassin was enough to have a training ground and living quarters. He had styled it after his childhood home, the training ground even had a little zen garden with a bonsai tree in the middle of it. A smooth dark marble walkway cut across the small pebbles of the training ground leading to the living room, which was covered in ancient artifacts from samurai armor to ninja weapons.

First it was shower time, Colt walked to hallway at his left and slowly began to strip off his wet bloody clothing. First came his shirt revealing a well sculpted torso tight muscles and scars from his many mistakes, including three new cuts where Foxe's bullets had grazed him.

Finally he had reached the bathroom, stepped into the shower and flipped on the water. There he stood gently cleaning out his wounds and washing off the filth from the day. He stepped out and wiped the steam from his mirror and stared at himself. When had he began to look so tired? His glowing red eyes staring back, his long red hair dripping wet.

Colt sighed,"Looks like I am the one to end our family little brother. Oh how I miss the cute little boy you were."

Colt then wrapped some gauze and bandaging to his torso and pulled on his lovely silk robe. Out into the living room and turned on his TV, perfect right to the news exactly what he wanted. As the reporter started her story he poured himself a glass of whiskey and started cooking up his dinner.

"The attacks of monsters have gotten completely out of control recently, many sectors of Astos have been destroyed or cut off,"the report gestured behind her,"just a week ago the bar known as The Underbridge was attacked and is now rubble, X-Terms operatives have told us there was an intense struggle and nothing more at this time."

Colt flipped of the TV and chuckled,"Poor fools will never figure out who we are. Apex is more cautious than leave behind who we are. It's not time for the reveal yet."

Cooking done and finally sitting down to eat, the phone rang and Colt sighed in frustration and slammed down his fork and knife and picked up the phone.

"Who the hell is it? Can't a man eat?!"he yelled into the phone.

"Watch it Colt, you're lucky I'm not the boss!"answered a deep gruff voice,"Speaking of he wants us to gather tomorrow."

"Ah sorry about that Lorenzo it's been a rough night,"apologized Colt,"We haven't met in months what's this about any idea?"

"Rough night? Oh yes you were sent after Foxe Leonard weren't you. Knowing you that was an easy job even if he is your brother,"Lorenzo clearest his throat,"No one knows what this is about except the boss man. I'll send you the spot later, enjoy your dinner."

Putting the phone down and sitting Colt could do nothing but stare at his plate. After months of waiting and being left to their own missions finally Apex was gathering again. He sighed and dug into his food, seems like he was gonna be very busy soon and he needed his strength.

'X-Terms is about to come crashing down,' he thought,'Scurry scurry little ants, the magnifying glass is coming.'
