Chapter 19: The Apex of the End

"Let's end him!"yelled Colt

Foxe and Colt charged at Axel, Colt landing the first blow in a swipe across Axel's chest from shoulder to hip catching the robe on fire. Next came Foxe's cut from the opposite shoulder to the opposite hip. Foxe and Colt jumped away from Axel as he started to laugh a deep and frightening laugh.

"You poor souls think you can hurt me!?"Axel laughed as he tore away the robe,"You'll never pierce through my Lightning King Armor!"

As the robe fell away still burning it glinted off the yellow-gold surface of a crackling and buzzing armor set. Each piece seemed to have a picture depicting the creation of multiple monsters and the monsters devouring people.

"Holy shit!"whispered Foxe,"Colt you think we can win this?"

"Well we have to try don't we?"said Colt.

They charged again hitting Axel at the same time, the tips of their bladed just sat on the surface of the armor the lightning it was made of sparking up the blades. The brothers backed off before the lightning could shock them.

"Now then are you two done tickling me?"asked Axel pretending to wipe dust from his armor,"Good then I believe it's my turn."

With a crash of thunder and the blink of an eye Axel was there in front of Colt and Foxe, he pulled back his fist which ignited in flames and then changed to his blue lightning and struck Foxe and Colt in the stomach dropping them to their knees.

Axel towered over them with his fists buzzing loudly, who the hell was this guy? What the hell was this guy!? They couldn't win this at all. Foxe was happy that he left Alex and Nox below, Axel would've killed them by now. They had to find a way to win.

"Now then my dear Colt,"Axel picked Colt up by his throat,"How should I punish you for your vile insubordination?! Maybe I'll take your limbs first and then give you copious amounts of pain before I teat out your soul!"

Foxe could hear Colt's gasps of pain and it angered him beyond anything, but he couldn't move it hurt so much to even draw breath. All he could do was watch as Axel droves his glowing fist through Colt's torso like he was made of butter.

"COOOOOOLT!!"screamed Foxe his eyes filling with tears at the sight,"AXEL YOU FUCKING BASTARD I'LL KILL YOU!"

Axel threw Colt away onto the dias and turned to Foxe,"I dare you to try!"

Foxe picked up Colt's katana and relit its flame with his own his fire and his dark fire raging hotter then they ever had. He screamed in pain and anger swinging first with the katana and then the scythe, over and over again as hard as he could each swipe digging into the armor and carving it away a piece at a time.

His memories of Colt flashing into his mind, the times that Colt took lashing for him from Father, the times Foxe had been scared to death and Colt there to always make him laugh, Colt's final words before he left for his long mission.

"Listen to me Foxe, you have grown up so big and strong I'm proud of you,"Colt's voice echoed in his head,"You'll make a good warrior like you made a good little brother."

Foxe screamed louder and angrier and swung harder and harder, he could see blood flying from the gashes and with a swift kick to Axel's chest sent him flying into the wall collapsing it and bringing the rubble down on him.

With Axel out of the picture he yelled for Nox and Alex and ran to Colt's still body. He could see Colt struggling to breathe, he gently layed a hand on his brother's chest.

"Colt! Colt! You're gonna be ok! Nox get the hell over here! Now!"yelled Foxe

Alex and Nox came running up the stairs and towards Foxe, Alex covered her mouth and just stared while Nox checked everything he could on Colt and just shook his head in defeat.

"I'm so sorry Foxe but even with my magic I can't do anything to help him. Most I can do is give him a few extra minutes."said Nox sadly surrounding the wound in water and freezing it.

Foxe put his head on Colt's chest and screamed again crying hard against his brother. Colt weakly raised a hand up to Foxe's hair and ruffled it.

"Listen little man, no more tears from you ok?"Colt coughed hard,"I'm sorry it took so long to find you and come back as your brother...I love you Foxe. I'll always be your brother. Axel isn't gone yet..but I can at least give you my power.." Colt hand started to glow crimson and violet leaking his power into Foxe,"I..hope..it helps..goodbye Foxe.."

Colts hand fell from Foxe's head and to the floor, forever lifeless before everyone's eyes. Before anyone could say a thing the rubble from the collapsed wall exploded and Axel stood from the pile bloodied and bruised. His blue lightning sparked angrily around him causing small explosions where they hit.

"Finally one brother is dead and gone!"yelled Axel furiously,"Time for you to join him and your friends to die after!"

"Genovia?"said Foxe emotionless.

Genovia popped her head out of Alex's bag,"Yes Foxe?"

"It's time to Unleash."said Foxe his eyes glowing brighter than they ever had.
