Elliot's POV
"Wait no way, Elliot?"
Oh fuck, here we go.
I heard a voice from behind me that caused the hairs on the back of my neck to prick up and my heart began to race. I felt my whole body stiffen up. Ro pulled me closer to him as he turned around to look at the person who said my name. I took a deep breath before turning around and my eyes landed on the bright blue eyes of the boy in front of me. "Hey, Aidan."
"That's so mad. I wasn't expecting to see you here," I could tell he had been drinking because he had that crooked smile, it was one of the things I used to love about him. The way he would smile at me when he'd had a drink.
"That makes both of us," I smiled weakly.
I tried to maintain eye contact but my insides felt like they were screaming. I can't do this. I don't want to do this. My heart was beating at super speed and my hands began to shake. I felt someone stand next to me. A hand rested gently on my upper back and I glanced up to see Master Warwick. He was eyeing up the boy in front of him.
"Wait, you two know each other?" The Master who was next to Aidan asked. His name was Master Joshua he was the one Ro warned me about."J this is Elliot, my ex." Don't sound so excited about that...
"Wait which ex?" The dominant asked and my heart sank to the pit of my stomach. I felt Rogelio's hand grasp me just a little bit tighter.
"Don't be a wanker, you know exactly who he is," Aidan laughed.
"I'm messing by the way," the man laughed, joking around after seeing my obvious drop of emotions "Of course I know who you are, I had no idea you were the same Elliot as A's Ex though, small world."
"Yeah really is," Aidan turned back to me. He took a big swig of his drink and placed it on the bar.
"I didn't know you were into kinky stuff, where was this side of you when we were together," he winked jokingly. I let out a small laugh. I'm trying so hard to blame what he's saying on the alcohol but every word he says is like a stab to the chest and I felt physically sick.
"It's been a few months, right? How's life been treating you then??"
"Ah yeah it has. Life's good, what about you?"
"I'm coaching rugby and football on the weekends. Still at the school loving life honestly," he smiled brightly.
"I'm glad to hear..." I tried to smile.
"Are you still living with Sim?" He asked me casually as if this whole conversation was totally normal.
"Yeah, I am," I answered simply. I glanced at Ro who was giving Aidan death stares.
"I thought so. I bet he was the one who brought you here," he was looking around seemingly for Sim. I know Sim doesn't like Aidan.
"I was yeah, hey Aidan long time no see," Sim and Master Nathaniel appeared beside me. I don't know how long they'd been listening.
"I thought so I'd heard stories about you," Aidan laughed "John D said you were freaky."
"John D thought reverse cowboy was kinky, he's vanilla at best," Sim folded his arms.
"You're still the same then," Aidan laughed.
"And you've not changed either," my best friend commented through gritted teeth.
Everything about Aidan was so casual like he hadn't broken my heart like he hadn't treated me the way he did like he hadn't deleted me from everything like we were back to the friends we never really were because we got together so quickly.
