"You mean the most important piece is the queen? Why?" He asked, face shows how curious he is.
Being curious is a good thing contrary to what other believes in.
Curiousity kills the cat but satisfaction brought it back.
Curiosity killed the cat is a proverb used to warn of the dangers of unnecessary investigation or experimentation. It also implies that being curious can sometimes lead to danger or misfortune. The original form of the proverb, now little used, was "Care killed the cat". In this instance, "care" was defined as "worry" or "sorrow for others."
So its not the curiousity that kills the cat its their worry. A baseless worry for unworthy beings.
"Who can move around freely gabriel" i ask him as i gesture to the chest board infront of us.
He blinks at me before picking up the queen "but its her duty to protect the king cause if there is no king there is no kingdom" impressive reason but still wrong.
I nodded accepting the said reasoning.
"What does the king do gabriel?" I ask as i look at his fallen king.
He lost.
"Stay where he is and command?" He stated sounding unsure.
I shake my head as i move my king in a way that he can only move, restricted.
"Compare the king and the queen" i ordered him.
I want him to be broad, i want to hear his thoughts, to know how much he can handle, how much more he can go.
His eyes narrow as he think, eyes far away deep in thoughts.
Have anyone ever told him that he have an aura of ethereal beauty whenever he do that? He's a nymph. An oblivious smart nymph.
"The king commands, he thinks but his movements are boxed, the queen can move freely wait...that sounded to much of a decoy ugh angulo na bigla!" his eyebrow furrowed as his eyes shows me how much he's trying to create diversion on his words of reasoning.
I chuckle as i put my queen beside my king "the queen protects the king with action in plain sight, while the king protects the queen using his mind and his people behind the scene, behind the curtains yet everyone can see his actions, the actions he wants his people to see, tell me gabriel if you were the king how will you protect your queen?" I ask him with my eyes on his, staring at him deeply, anticipating his answer.
I watch as his lips pursed, fire of determination burning inside his beautiful eyes, fascinating.
"In all the possible way, against everyone who will try to bring him pain even if its against myself" his voice unwavering, eyes determined and so sure.
I was frozen, not really ready to hear such an answer from him. It was like the time stopped for a second.
I thought i was hearing things but from the sudden flustered look on his face i knew i heard him right.
"Was i wrong?" His voice small and wavering, eyes full of uncertainty and worry.
Thats when i snap out of it. I chuckle ...until it turns into an airy laugh. I used one of my hand to cover my face as i tip my head back not being able to stop the laughter that was bubbling on the back of my throat.
