"I'm beginning to think that Alexander and Dante are a crazier duo than us." Asteria tells me as she turns the car on.
"Please, nobody can be crazier than the sugar and spice duo," I respond, putting my seatbelt on. I see my mama's car drive past the gate, Asteria places the car in drive and follows behind her.
"Did you see the look on Uncle Ryan's face when he heard that Dante got arrested again?"
I chuckled at the thought of his face a few minutes ago. He literally just said with a straight face, "let's take your car diabla, I'm driving".
At the rate that the crazy shit Alexander and Dante do, I think my Uncle Ryan isn't amused at the fact that his son has gotten arrested . . . again. Aunt Odette on the other hand . . . well let's just say she's pissed. Of course she's used to Alexander's behavior by now but she still gets mad.
I noticed Asteria turned up the volume of the music she put on and I took the opportunity to think about what my papa told me.
My birthday is coming up rather soon.
I'll be turning twenty . . . which I still can't believe.
I feel old.
But I do want to have a birthday ball. The idea I had in mind is to introduce the official Castillo Mafia tattoo to those who will be attending my birthday celebration. My papá was originally going to announce it at one of the Castillo Mafia Balls but he decided not to and instead let me be the person to design the official tattoo.
When I turned eighteen, my parents sat me down to talk about if I absolutely want to continue my job as my papá's heiress to lead his mafia.
I said yes, not only because I would become the first female leader of the Castillo Mafia and pretty much any other mafia in the underworld but I also want to show the sexist men I've come across in my years that a woman is capable of leading a mafia.
